Pepe's — Restaurant in Portsmouth

This was hands down one of the worst fast food experiences I’ve ever had. The staff were unbelievably slow and clearly had no sense of urgency. I waited almost 30 minutes for a basic order — no customization, nothing complicated — and when I finally got my food, it was cold and missing items.

But what really pushed this over the edge was how filthy the place was. The floors were sticky, the tables hadn’t been wiped in who knows how long, and there was trash piling up on and around the bins. I even saw an employee handle food without gloves right after touching the register and wiping their nose — absolutely disgusting.

It looked like the staff didn’t care about anything — not the food, not the customers, and definitely not cleanliness. The kitchen area, which was partially visible, looked just as bad: cluttered, messy, and totally unsanitary. And during all of this, the employees were standing around, chatting, laughing, and moving like they were in slow motion while the line kept getting longer and longer.

No apology, no explanation, just terrible service and a filthy environment. This location is a joke, and frankly, it’s a health hazard. I won’t be back, and I’ll be telling everyone I know to steer clear. Total waste of...

Ordered pepes went to collect and when collected all the food fell through the bag. Then I started to eat and all was fine until I bit down on something hard and at first thought it was a chicken bone until I spat it out and saw it was a piece of glass. Rung pepes to see what can be done about this as this is unacceptable. Lady on the phone was really rude. Telling me it’s impossible and asked to send a picture. So I did. She then said I could go and get another one I said absolutely not. It’s put me off. So then she finally offered me a refund. So I went to get my refund and took the peice of glass with me. She then was very reluctant to give me the refund even when on the phone said she would. She was really rude and kept telling me it’s impossible. She finally gave the refund. Absolutely horrendous service, 2 staff members who took both calls had a doagusting attitude and didn't seem bothered at all. Ordered for deliver 3 times now and every single time they make us wait ages and ages and when you chase it they keep saying they'll be there soon. One time I was waiting 3 hours so the next time I ordered at 4pm for a delivery time slot of 7-7.15 pm and they didn't arrive till half 8 and we were fasting at the time so had to wait an hour after breaking fast to eat which is why I ore ordered in the first place. Then they lied and kept saying the time slot is when the delivery driver leaves the store not for the delivery time, they also didn't seem to care nor apologise.
