Had seen a positive review on YouTube for this franchise so decided to give it a try. Place was spotless as you would expect. And the staff behind the counter where you placed your order were cordial. Not a massive choice of options. Burgers and Hot Dogs mostly. 4 options for burgers from the cheapest option, a hamburger at £8.95 up to the most expensive, a bacon cheeseburger at £10.95. These 4 burgers were also available as a smaller option ranging from £6.95 to £8.95.. You can then build you burger from a range of toppings including onions, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, etc. Fries were available as Five Guys Style or Cajun Style in Little, Regular and Larger servings. Drinks included alcohol beverages with 3 bottled beers available, all priced at £5.50 a bottle. Went with the Bacon Cheeseburger, with toppings of lettuce, tomato, grilled onion, mushrooms and ketchup. Also a regular portion of Cajun fries at £5.45 and a bottle of water at £2.50. Definitely fast food as in less than 8 minutes from ordering our food was ready. Huge portion of fries, with skin on, and they were hot. But have to admit the burger was a bit of a disappointment. Was expecting something much tastier. And as for all the toppings which you can add for free there is only so much space on a bun this size. Nothing wrong with it but for £18.90 with my water I just don't think it represented good value for money. I think there are many places out there, especially certain pub chains, where you can get a similar meal which is just as good if not better and...
Read moreUpdate. I left feedback with 5 Guys UK CS. It's been an absolute nightmare of question after question. To make any kind of complaint, you need your original receipt. If you don't have it you get question after question. What exact time of day? Exactly what did you eat? What date were you in. As I had no idea the exact time and stated the wrong type of fries, I was blamed for misleading their investigation. I supplied a receipt of the Amex transation in $s. They could not do a simple calculation and work out exactly how much I had spent, given the date and approximate time of day. I have been treated very badly by 5 Guys CS and now will complain about how they deal with complaints in the UK to the CEO in the USA. UK Customer Service took a very simple problem and with their appalling "protocols" and incessant questioning, blew it into a full scale complaint about themselves, to the CEO. We will never step for in another UK 5 Guys.
We waited ages for our food, eventhough there was hardly anyone in. £27.60 for 2 burgers a drink and soggy fries is ridiculous, given the quality. Overall our service and the fries were awful, service poor. Utterly overpriced for what we received....
Read moreFirst time ever in a 'Five Guys'. Both myself & Mrs P went for the Cheeseburger. I chose all the usual Toppings ie Lettuce, pickle, Raw & fried onion, tomato, ketchup &Mayo. Mrs P had the same except no pickle & only Mustard. One Large Salted caramel, one small chocolate shake & one portion of Five Guys style Fries.
The beef patties (2 off) were simply outstanding, proper beefburger taste, tender & hot. Twice the thickness of Mcd's & freshly prepared. Mine was a touch 'sloppy' so next time it'll not have the Sauces on. Taste wise...beautiful no question. Fries are not cheap in fact expensive but hey this is fast food so what the hell. Skin on & plenty of them (50% of these ended up in the bag & brought home). Milkshake?..again to die for & again a touch expensive. Overall though a great burger, service & a very clean restaurant (Deepdale retail park. Only one other person in (it was 2pm though). Would I go again?. Absolutely. If you need this comparing to BK & McD's then its close to price & style of Bk, if youre comparing it to say a Philly Cheese stack or a Big Mac...they aren't in the same league but then McD's are half the price. Recommend you try Five Guys just so you...
