We've eaten here a couple of times previously as we used to enjoy the previous Marco Carl. The menu is modified. The sizzlers are nothing special (bit of a knock-off Sizzling palette). Would not recommend the mix grill or biryani which were both deeply disappointing. The mocktails are heavily overpriced at 6.50. The tear and share is prob one of the better items on the menu and some other starter items as per the previous Marco Carl menu. The brunch is really disappointing, tasted bland and awful and incredibly overpriced for the portion. One tiny sausage split in half for a 'desi breakfast' which seems a complete con. More importantly, on our last visit we were disgusted with the lack of hygiene in the place. The seats were really dirty and we had to clean them before sitting. The table was disgusting, even all around the table and the table legs hadn't seen a wipe in months and were layered with food mess. Floor was awful. When we went to pay, we were shocked at the state of the bar and counter tops and the staff didn't seem busy or concerned about the state. Don't want to think about what the kitchen might be like. Unfortunately we didn't manage to take a pic of the chairs before we cleaned them but this pic pretty much says it all about the general state of the place. Don't think we'll be returning again.

I rarely leave reviews, but here I must. The family that run this restaurant have given the menu some serious thought, it is definitely not run of the mill and execute the dishes brilliantly. The dishes are prepared in an open kitchen, friendly chefs who will greet you and ensure your food is piping hot. It is prepared fresh don’t expect instant food- wait and savour. Came for dinner and brunch - the two menus are very very different (as they should be) Came for dinner, and upon viewing the brunch menu, had to come back for that too. Dinner - tear and share bread to start, its name doesn’t do it justice - fantastic with cheese, chicken, chillies. Wish I took pictures. Buttermilk chicken burger - was substantial really well cooked and season. Brunch - fruity granola prepared fresh, and a dirty bagel.. Look at the size of that granola pot!! A small ramekin it is not! I’m sure Sizzlers will go from strength to strength continuing in this way. A truly excellent eatery that caters for halal diets. Alhamdulillah.

Took family out for a meal as they usually prefer sizzling palate in Bolton but after hearing good reviews of this place, we thought we'd save ourself some milage and fuel and stay closer to home. A good shout it was. Place was nice and quiet when we walked in around 4pm. Was given menus straight away and didn't take us long to decide what we want. Skipped the starters as the sizzlers themselves are filling enough. My order consisted of steak and chicken sizzler, lamb sizzler and manchurian chicken sizzler. Drinks consisted of standard iced mango and iced orange and pina colada. The desert was cookie dough with ice cream. Sizzlers were fresh and hot and sizzly and very tasteful. Meat portion was decent and rice and noodles combined with the chicken and extra sauce and cheese just made it everything taste that much better. The desert was perfect too. I always ask for my cookie dough to be extra crispy as I'm not a fan of it if its too soft so they made it perfect. Will definitely be back to try more on the menu.

PLEASE READ BEFORE VISITING I visited this establishment on new years day with a group of 15 friends & was quite impressed with the food & service. I decided to visit again with my family & just didn't have the same experience. The manager/owner attitude is to be questioned, I felt as though he was not bothered about my concerns & tried to belittle me.

  1. 3 drinks were sent to the table & the fourth one came 1/2 hour later
  2. asked for some tap water, managers reply was that they stopped serving tap water 3 days ago due to having too many glasses to wash, a couple of weeks earlier it wasn't a problem. You now have to purchase a 250ml bottle of water at £2.50 or what ever they are charging. He had the audacity to say we are not a licensed restaurant so we can charge for water, so should we go to a licensed restaurant where we won't get charged for a glass of water.
  3. ordered 2 pina colada, which states on the menu is served in a pineapple, it came in a glass. Paying over £7 for a soft drink & not getting what you state on the menu is not good for the restaurant, I questioned one of the staff & was told that they do not have any pineapples at the moment. Surley if you state that you serve in a Pineapple & ran out, you should inform that customer when orders are taken.
  4. Ordered extra cheese, 15 minutes had to ask one of the servers where the cheese was, who then promptly brought it out to us.
  5. toilets are filthy, broken flush button & toilet seat, limescale in caked on in the bowl.
  6. I've been in the hospitality trade within a restaurant environment for over 30 years & I recognise the different types of meats, the sizzler strips are not beef, but mutton.
  7. the restaurant seems to be putting profits before customer service

On the positive side the food & staff were exellent

I feel if that if this is the way they carry on they will have the same ending as what...

AVOID Went with 5 adults and 4 children. Table was booked for 8pm. Got fobbed off by the manager for 35 mins about different excuses as to why table wasn’t ready all whilst we were expected to wait in a narrow area where staff were walking past with hot sizzlers above the children’s heads. Once seated, nobody attended to us for 15 mins to provide cutlery or plates and then finally our order was taken. The starters took 45 mins to arrive and the sliders were freezing cold. I raised this with the manager who said he will replace them. Drinks had been placed infront of us and sat for 45 mins which went flat whilst we waited for a tear n share bread. Raised the concerns to the manager who said he’ll replace the drinks and the sliders neither which he did. He also stated they only have 1 oven and that’s why it’s taken 45 mins for the bread to be made. The sizzlers came out 5 mins after the starter and 2 of them were warm and had no steam coming off them. The manager never once apologised for any service issues and argued that we should be ignore all service aspects because we ate the food. We were charged for drinks which were flat and the manager reluctantly removed the sliders off the bill. Absolute loud ruckus inside the place which clearly is too much to handle for staff. There was 3 other tables that complained about wait times and service issues. I would never dine here again. Waste of time and you come out stinking like a sizzler due to poor ventilation in the property. The manager should take lessons in customer service rather than hiding in the kitchen when people want to...

If I could score less for the service I would do but 1 star will do. Begin: Table almost straight away. Order: 20 minutes in. Food: 1 hour 20 minutes later. Throughout our stay we were wrongly informed the food was on its way. We had children who were tired and hungry. The easiest thing on the menu Chicken Nuggets took 1hour 30 shockingly. So my daughter had to watch everything arrive but her Nuggets. The Nacho's had three half jalapenos and when we asked for more, they agreed to bring some, twenty minutes later nothing. Further requests resulted in the staff admitting they didn't have anymore 🙄 Why serve a dish and try and get away without key ingredients hoping the customer wouldn't notice? The table next to us were going through the same waiting experience and resorted to getting their own plates as the service was so poor. Throughout this experience, there was no apology. If the ratio of customers and staff don't add up then you shouldn't seat people or have the decency to tell the customer how long the wait is realistically. Really unfair for children to wait longer than an hour. Not much to ask really. Following the considerable wait, the food was average at best. Nothing special and certainly not worth waiting for.

We'll be voting with our feet and stick to Jaffas where you can expect efficiency and...
