Where do I start, me and my fiancee have been coming here for quite some time so I like to think I'm more than qualified to leave this review. Put simply you will not find a better restraunt for polish cuisine and herbal tea in the United Kingdom, I know that sounds like a hell of a statement but honestly over the time I've been going I have tried most things on the menu and it has all been simply delightful. The staff are fantastic and freindly the venue is cosy and pleasant and the selection of food and beverages is epic. This little tea house has a very special place in my heart and I sincerely think everyone should try it at least once. Five stars do not give this place the credit it deserves. The food quallity has been bang on every time, the service is excellent and fast. If you think that polish food may be too intimidating they have a more standard menu running parallel to the polish menu but honestly treat yourself to a polish meal it's life changing. You can't go wrong with this spot for any occasion weather it be for a first date or even just a light snack and drink while you rest your feet after a walk around Prestons shops.
To the frontline staff you guys are excellent. You make the place the perfect freindly experience that I know and love.
To the chef's and cooks I don't know how you do what you do but it's absolutely mindblowing the quallity and flavour of the food that you deliver.
I can't possibly recommend the tea...
Read moreWonderful atmosphere and lovely staff, plus fantastic choice of teas. This was my second visit. We chose this cafe as I'm a vegetarian and there was plenty of choice for me.
The first time hadn't gone so well as we'd been forgotten and had to remind staff to bring our order. This time service seemed to much better.
I ordered delicious Yunnan tea, Greek salad and a bloomer toastie with cheese, mushrooms, tomatoes, basil. The order came quickly and looked delicious and the salad was great, on my second bite of toastie I realised something wasn't right.
I looked down and saw ham (my sister had ordered ham on her sandwich). I spat it out and took it back to the counter. They apologised profusely and remade my meal, correctly, which was on the house, but nothing can make up for the fact that after 40 of being veggie I've now had ham in my mouth and possibly eaten it.
I won't be eating there again - they are lovely people but just too frazzled to trust to get it right. I will be sticking to the tea...
Read moreWhat a lovely little find, and totally unexpected. We wanted a quiet little cafe, and we found a great one in The Tea House. It wasn't busy and was nice not to be in the hustle and bustle of most places in the centre of town. It's a simple little cafe menu, but with a twist of having a Polish menu. I've never had Polish good before so was rather excited, and this didn't disappoint. I had the Polish stew with bread, and my partner had the dumplings. We both loved both dishes, and even though they were good size portions we ate the lot, it was lovely. On top of the great food is what the café is all about, it's vast array of different teas. There were hundreds of them. I had the cloves in orange tea, and it was amazing. A quiet little cafe with great food and service with fabulous tastes to be had. I was very impressed and we'll...
