Extremely disappointed in the level of professionalism at this place. Usually the Leeds branch is our go to so thought we would give the Preston branch a try. Soon as we walked in, there was an issue with regards to another table, staff were very under trained with how to properly deal with the issue (de-escalate/resolve/create a calm environment). My whole experience with my husband was ruined due to the drama that was going on. Staff were very fearful and reluctant to be forthright with the customer and instead repeatedly kept ignoring the ruckus for 30-45 mins and continued to go on with their tasks. My husband unfortunately had to step in as the lady was 7 months pregnant (at this point screaming and crying for a cold drink as it was 30+degrees) with her: were her little children and 2 other family members. My husband kindly offered to pay for what he initially thought were just 6 soft drinks. I am heavily pregnant so my husband was very adamant he wanted a calm evening hence why he got involved. The manager then had the nerve to say their bill has come to £80, by then they had already made these random desserts that we were NOT made aware of beforehand or even agreed to!!!! Absolutely vile how they can just rob and scam off paying customers- when the truth is they can’t deal with difficult customers and instead found an easy way out which was to ask someone else to foot the bill and deal with the issue. The mangers kept running off to iceburg next door leaving all the calamity to befall on customers around them. Towards the end, the staff asked us to go and speak to the manager who was at iceburg. He then had the audacity to say ‘these customers don’t ever pay and owe us x amount’ like this was our business and our issue all of a sudden. He then asked us ‘either you can ask them to pay or as you said you will pay’ (again the staff never CLARIFIED what we are paying for exactly and continued to faff under the pressure- very poor team work and communication skills amongst staff and with customers, NO member of staff told us of their history with these customers nor disclosed what they ordered). I am absolutely disgusted, appalled and shocked at this business. In total for another table because staff were not adequate enough to deal with them, we ended up being asked to pay £67.32- the manager ever so kindly gave us discount (like that’s what good, honest wholesome customer service looks like). This will be the last time I ever step foot in any of the Haute dolcis ever again! Extremely let down at what is believed to be a reputable business, I will never recommend this place to anyone. To say they thought they resolved this issue by asking another customer to pay out of their own pockets is laughable on the business. Just a bunch of money...
Read moreNice restaurant, modern feel, spacious and well lit, the server told us it would be 5 mins wait and it was nowhere near that, so good start!. My daughter asked for some tap water whilst we were deciding, as it was a hot day. This never materialised. The waiter was lovely he took our order and heard me say "did you still want some tap water?" to my daughter, he sorted it out for us where the waitress failed. My daughter did warn me before we went that is was quite formal and we might be underdressed but I have to say I personally did not feel like that. I think that teenagers and young adults feel a little intimidated that it is too posh for them as I had the same response from other young ppl when I asked them about heavenly desserts.
The atmosphere is really vibrant, the restaurant was full of happy faces and there were ppl coming and going all the time. We chose non-alcoholic cocktails as we didn't want to fill ourselves up on milkshake which were georgeous.
We chose the choose your own pudding which was good, I love crepes, but just a little too much toffee syrup for me it was very sweet (I know, it's pudding it's supposed to be) but it was very good. We were sat next to the kitchen so we could watch everything being made which was cool and the chef was calling the waiter for us and gave my daughter some strawberries which were missed off our order.
The prices are on the expensive side, but everything is fresh, you get what you pay for, fruit is expensive after all. Plus if we had gone out for a full 3 course meal in a restaurant we would of paid far more, so we were happy with what we paid. Would recommend to anyone who likes pudding!, Hang on ....... Isn't...
Read moreI visited Haute Dolci Preston with my husband and 2 sons for the first time yesterday. What a lovely place and such great atmosphere and decor.
From the minute we walked in till the moment we left, we were very impressed with the exceptional customer service provided by Luke aka Lukmaan. His welcome, attention and willingness to please made our experience a great one! He was very approachable, friendly and polite. He tailored our experience to our needs and was very professional throughout. He is an absolute asset to Haute Dolci and we would definitely visit again. The food and desserts were absolutely on point and i will attach the pictures below so you can see for yourselves. We can't say what our favourites were as honestly everything was cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. Table/utensils/seating area were all clean and bathroom was immaculate which is pleasing and comforting.
The boys (aged 5 and aged 1) really enjoyed their visit. We usually hate taking them to dessert places and were worried there would be some tantrums but Lukes banter, conversation and the wonderful food and desserts definitely kept them included and occupied.
Thank you for your recommendations and service Luke. Everything was great. Top service. Hopefully we will see you at our next visit 😊
The only downside to our visit was that we forgot to redeem our giveaway prizes 🙈 but all in all a great dessert place. We will definitely be back...
