I have been eating at Kobeda Palace for over 4 years on a regular basis prior to the head chef leaving to open his own restaurant few door away and the previous owner selling the business over to the new owners. The food has changed and most importantly the service has gone down where the server lady is dead rude and doesn’t seem to be bothered even though it is a Service based business hence we have stopped going there at the Restaurant for eating - in and order takeaway / delivery. We do not order regularly as we used to eat before but still fancy eating now and then.
Fast forward to today, called in to order for collection today Friday 02/05/2025 but the lady answering the phone seemed not interested in taking order and she was very rude hence decided to order via. UberEats to save time and hassle. Waited nearly 1 & 1/2 hour for the food to be delivered and realised that some of our food was missing. We tried calling the delivery driver at Uber but the number kept on going to voicemail hence decided to call Kobeda Palace on their direct line and let them know that some of our food was missing. To my surprise, the same lady answered the phone and upon informing her of our missing item, she straight away told us that it is not their fault and to contact uber. After explaining her that even though we ordered from UberEats but the food was still from their Restaurant and we didn’t receive some of our foods. Instead of listing and trying to find solutions or offer to get the missing items sent, she didn’t seemed interested and neither did she wanted to take any responsibility. All she kept saying in a very rude tone that it is not their fault nor their problem and to take it to UberEats for complaint.
After this experience, I along with my family, friends and colleagues will not be eating here or ordering takeout / delivery from this establishment ’Kobeda Palace’. I do not agree with the term or saying ‘Customer is always Right’ but as a service based business, the Staff and the Owners should try to listen from the customers prospective and sometimes when service is really busy specially on the weekend, mistakes can happen. Just a simple Sorry and finding a solution would go a long way and small gestures could be beneficial for the business. But after this dreadful experience I would not be using their services anymore. I would strongly recommend customers like myself who orders takeout / delivery services from Kobeda Palace to check their food prior to the delivery driver leaving or when you are doing collection at the restaurant then best to check your food before you leave as they will not take responsibility after and regardless of what you say or explain; they are not interested in taking responsibility nor help you to find a solution.
CONCLUSION: WE WILL NOT BE ORDERING FOOD / EATING IN FROM KOBEDA PALACE,...

Took my wife out for a nice meal and decided to go to Kobeda as we have tried this restaurant before and liked the food. Ordered food and was served in about 10-15 wait time and it didn’t disappoint us. When I went to make payment I was asked to pay an amount which I cannot relate to my order. I asked for clarification and was told that the meat curry I had was ½ kg, I asked the staff on what was my order and they said you ordered ¼ kg but you had ½ Kg and you have to pay for it. By this time whole restaurant is looking at the counter where this discussion is going on. I ask them why do I have to pay for something which I didn’t order and more over it is the same dish I ordered and not sure about the difference in their portion sizes. After a brief conversation they decided not to charge me for their mistake. The point is they shouldn’t have asked me for the money in the first place and would have avoided the embracement for me. You don’t go to a restaurant to have a nice meal and then you end up having an argument on what you should be paying. This didn’t end there, I realised that what they charged at the end was more than what I should have been paying (half chicken with naan bread charged £8.25). I am very disappointment in how they treated me and it makes me believe they would treat other customers in similar way. I am not sure if I would ever enjoy a meal at this restaurant as I will be thinking what they will be charging when the bill turns up. It is a shame that this place don’t value their customers hence the quality of customer service. For everyone reading this review, please make sure you check your bill before you make payment as I don’t trust these guys.
I think they don't even care for their reviews as I see customers talking about the service being rude for months now and i can say that it hasn't improved, on the contrary it has gone worse. Its...
Read moreIf there was a option of ZERO STARS that’s what this restaurant deserves. The food was awful and I am very disappointed. The Chaplii Kebab was RAW from inside, lamb curry had a awful smell to it, chicken biryani was stale and the naan was hard and tasted off. We were given white plastic cups to drink through instead of proper dine in glasses. When speaking to the lady supervisor she had said the restaurant don’t provide glasses and they only use white plastic cups. But I had noticed the table at the back had glasses on there table, I mentioned that to the supervisor and her response was “we only have 6 glasses in the whole restaurant”. I then asked her to get the manager. When the manager came and we explained about the food. The manager had no response and stated ”the owner is in USA and the owner has said use what you have and make the food, even if it’s old just serve it”. After hearing this I am very surprised and couldn’t believe it. The toilets were dirty and no hygiene level was being monitored. I will not be returning and I would not be recommending this restaurant. Don’t waste your time and money! This restaurant has serious issues and needs to sort...
