I came in with my friend on a Tuesday night that lives in the area we normally eat at saffron an Indian restaurant across the road but we both thought let’s try something different but he had been here before we arrived at 8.50pm the restaurant was empty only one table of 8 people we walk in and spoke to the blond woman manager I assume….if the kitchen is still open I kid you not the look on her face of disappointed of us walking in we was not even greeted with a smile no friendliness whatsoever she explained to us when it’s not busy they close slightly earlier and she will check with the chefs to see if they are still able to serve us we both said that’s fine please check
She came back to us explaining yes we can be seated but we have 10mins to order everything which we both said that’s fine and still not a smile from her or friendliness she seated us on a table opposite the kitchen where we could see both chefs spraying down work surfaces we then looked back at the the bar area I could see the blond lady talking to her colleague and looking at us.
she made me and my friend feel so uncomfortable that we literally simultaneously both said lets go which we both got up and said to her we will come back next time still no smile she simply replied ok nothing else.
She obviously wanted to finish serving the table of 8 people and close up and go home but honestly she needs to take or retake a course in customer service because she made us feel so uncomfortable and unwelcoming I don’t want judge a business on one person but the owner needs someone especially front of house to be able to do their job properly.

Upon entering, you are greeted by top-class interior decor reminiscent of a five-star hotel. We were welcomed and seated by Karlos, our waiter, who greeted us with the warmth and professionalism of a five-star butler ready to serve his guests.

Feeling relaxed and excited to sample the flavors, we browsed the lunchtime menu, which featured a variety of traditional options. We ordered Hummus to gauge the chef's authenticity and were not disappointed.
The lamb was succulent and cooked to perfection, while the traditional Turkish bread was soft and fresh. I cannot express how delightful this food was; it truly seems underrated since the restaurant was not busy during our visit.

Read moreAbsolutely disgusted with the manager here tonight! We had made a booking for 14 people tonight but one had to cancel for personal reasons. Nothing was mentioned about deposit being penalised against anyone not showing, it was to be paid beforehand and deducted off the bill. The food, drink and service was amazing!!When presented with the bill they still kept the extra £10 deposit for the person that couldn’t make it. When we questioned this the manager came over and said it’s policy that they keep the £10, even though as a group we had spent well over £600! After refusing to deduct the £10 I told the manager to remove the service charge for the whole bill instead. He proceeded to inform me he would call the police and that the service charge was compulsory. After explaining this was not a legality he eventually deducted the £10 but started to moan about having other customers cancel on his business tonight.
