I visited the Reigate Pizza Hut branch on [17-03-25] to avail of the afternoon meal deal, during which I ordered a pizza and garlic bread. While awaiting my order, I observed a staff member with his hand visibly buried down his trousers, aggressively scratching his crotch in full view of customers. To my alarm, this same individual proceeded to handle my pizza when it reached the conveyor belt: he sliced the pizza, garnished it, inserted a white plastic utensil into the food, and attempted to serve it to me.
I immediately refused the order, explicitly stating that I would not accept food handled by someone engaging in such unhygienic practices. Upon returning to request a refund, the employee in question began shouting at me in a hostile manner, while other staff dismissively instructed me to “ignore him” and offered to remake the order. Notably, as I observed through the kitchen’s glass door, a staff member purposefully obstructed the view by covering the window with a Pizza Hut case—a blatant attempt to conceal further mishandling.
This incident reflects appalling negligence of basic food safety standards and a complete disregard for customer welfare. I have already reported this to Pizza Hut’s customer service and the local council’s Environmental Health team. I now demand: Immediate preservation of all CCTV footage from [17.03.25/time between 15:15 to 15:45] for review by authorities. A written explanation of the disciplinary actions taken against the employee involved. A full refund and compensation for this unacceptable experience.

Read moreDecided to give Pizza Hut a go after a leaflet came through my letterbox this week. I wrote this review after two phone calls to the shop after an hour has passed and my pizza has not arrived. I have spoken with 2 members of staff one being a manager and found they were rude and useless. They could not tell me how long my pizza will take only that it is with the driver. Between the two calls were made I could have driven to the shop in that time! There website and leaflet advertises that the delivery will be within 30 minutes and if 10 mins late you receive a £10 gift voucher. I raised this with the staff who told me that it’s not applicable and not through them because they are a franchise and to take it up direct with Pizza Hut. Again just a joke. I don’t want the voucher as I won’t be ordering from them again but it’s the principle! I just wanted my pizza! I’ll be sticking to Dominoes next time. So.......my pizza finally arrived, and no the manager didn’t call me back to advise a time as he said he would. The pizza was awful that you wouldn’t even feed to a dog! So I rang the shop back to provide them with feedback and tell them how awful it was, when the phone was put down. They then wouldn’t pick up again! So I drove to the shop to return the pizza and seek a refund. I explained that as the phone was hung over I had no choice but to drive here. The manager (Richard) admitted that it was him and that the cord got pulled out so we accidentally got cut off! He must think I was born yesterday! The manager then stated that he can’t give me a refund as he was unable to and I’d have to take this up with HQ! Such a joke! Read moreOrdered a pizza at 10pm. I have called only twice, on my second call, jay the assistant manager said he can give me 10 pound off. He then said he will give me 15 if I don't call again. So he is bribing me not to chase for a pizza that I expected over an hour ago that I have already paid for. I also am insure how I am going to get the 15 pound. He did say to reference his name "jay" and it will be sorted. The shop now closes in 20 minutes and no pizza. Also when I called the second time, he said its on the way. I mentioned that he said that ealier and he just said. Yeah I recognised the voice. This is unacceptable. If they don't have the staff then don't take the order or ring the customer and say, hey it's going to be delayed.
At 11:44, we get the notification to say it has just left the resturant and Is now on its way. So jay lied to me twice then offered me money to keep me quiet.
I think....jay the "assistant manager" needs some further training in customer service and politeness. Perhaps also offering money to me on a recorded line is not the best idea.
So I get a phone call at 23:51, I am here outside the iron gates. We don't have iron gates. No one around has iron gates. Had to share a live location on WhatsApp just so the driver can find me.
The driver did not read the location on what's app so I had to keep repeating the address, next he is saying there is no network so now cannot find the house
Called pizza hut back, spoke with jay. Jay said the they are stupid and jay will call the driver. He did turn up. Driver had no money to give us.
