Amazing chocolate shop ever, if you want to treat yourself to a luxury mug of hot chocolate or an amazing hot waffle filled with fruit of your choice, ice cream, cream, sauce and chocolate bits or simple a lovely cup of coffee then this is the place to visit. The staff are amazing, polite and so friendly. They chat away to you and even have time for children to. The waffles are freshly made when you order too. The ice creams are amazing and come with an assortment of toppings and various cones too. They have lots of seating on 2 floors and a toilet for...

Filthy. We broke a long journey in Clitheroe having never been before. Based on reviews and pictures we headed straight for The Chocolate Works for a coffee. When we entered, the 3 girls working stopped their chatting and made themselves look busy. There were only 2 tables of people downstairs, and 1 occupied table upstairs but every other table in the place was filled with dirty mugs. They hadn't cleared any tables, but we're doing nothing when we walked in. We left to spend our money in Nero which is a shame as we always seek out independents...

A lovely, cosy, chocolatey, waffley café. Decent coffee, superb chocolate drinks and sundaes, great waffles, other sweet treats. I recommend a visit. Somewhat let down by the sandwiches and the service though. Vague counter staff who seemed quite distracted by chatter, unfamiliar with the menu, detached from customer needs. Had to remind them twice about forgotten ordered items on the last visit. Sandwiches all pre-made, no facility to vary the fillings from the menu, and not quite as exciting as the menu...

We didn't have any food so I can rate that but what a nice little place. They have put such an effort for their autumnal decorations. Such a cosy place. My mum had a cappuccino I had a coke. Coke in a glass bottle is always a winner for me (in fact I never drink coke unless it is in a glass bottle). Lovely display of chocolate will defo be back to try in the new year when I can give up on my dairy free diet. Saw on the menu they do a dairy free hot chocolate and dairy free mocha... Win win. Will also be back for this. X

Went to The Chocolate Works in Clitheroe on New Year's Eve for a hot chocolate with some friends. I came from Longridge, 30 minutes down the road for 2 hours. I have been here twice and both times, have enjoyed the drink I ordered. I went for a Belgian Milk Chocolate one time and the other occasion, a Gingerbread-Flavoured one. I really liked the atmosphere inside here and it is a pleasant place to go for a tea-time treat :) They do really tasty Mint Hot Chocolates - The Works Hot Chocolate is one for another day.
