Tesco Cafe — Restaurant in Rochdale

I have just been to the Middleton Tesco Cafe, we arrived and was ignored waiting to be acknowledged. The woman serving saw us and just turned around, we then eventually get spoke to and say please can we order vegan breakfast? The woman serving said "No, no sausages" I said sorry? She said "no you can't there's no vegan sausage downstairs" Miserable rude woman face like thunder she was patronising and she said "that's how it is sorrryyyy!!" We have just been in so i would say it was around 10.15am (24th Feb) We walked down stairs and there is the Tesco vegan sausage in stock she was lying. Couldn't be bothered miserable woman slamming about behind the counter being rude. Unbelievable actually how rude she is. I am really annoyed we just left feeling very deflated We have had to drive to another store now for breakfast in Rochdale! I have attached the picture of the sausage she clearly could not be bothered to make! Disgusting service what a miserable...

What a great location for a cafe. However, it all went downhill after ordering.

The staff weren’t overly welcoming but it was first thing on a Sunday morning.

After placing our order and drinking our coffee overlooking the new Christmas theme, we waiting 37 minutes for food. I must say it wasn’t due to being busy at all as we were the second customers to order food.

I went to the cashier to ask what had happened to the food to an astonishing look stating “we are about to plate it up”. I did say don’t worry and just refund me because you had served so many people who had already eaten and left.

The manager refunded me and gave my wife and I a complimentary meal and drinks on our next visit.

Stating with positive, cafe is located in an isolated corner at the first floor. Calm and more quieter for an in store cafe 👍. Place seems to be good for a coffee/Chai. Other than that everything felt very wrong here. Staff (except one lady) were not welcoming at all. Team needs some motivation or process improvement it seems. Slowest in store cafe I have ever seen. Waited so long to place order, then a very long wait for two burgers and jacket. And after the wait what I received was disappointing in taste and presentation in comparison to other in store cafes I experienced.
