A group of us booked in on Sunday and I have to say, the whole experience was exceptional. Matt is clearly a fantastic chef. I started with a chicken liver parfait tart with orange, hazelnut and ginger. Incredible flavour balance. Stunning. My main was a lamb saddle, panko lamb belly, black garlic ketchup, jus with wild garlic oil and a side of creamy mash. Exceptional! Finally a glazed lime tart with raspberry sorbet. I had a Corbieres with the lamb. Spencer and Ellie were front of house and attentive and friendly. A super combination. There could be some additional wines to complement the outstanding food, but it certainly didn’t negate what was a super evening for us all. Every one of us thought it was excellent. We will be back very soon!

A wonderful dinning experience from start to finish! The waiter was so lovely and kind. The food was amazing and fresh. You can tell the chef is cooking from his heart. Every dish was wonderful but I enjoyed the skate fish and the mackerel the most. It was quiet on a Sunday evening but that was perfect for us as we managed to get a table. I’m so glad we found this place on Google maps and I can definitely recommend this restaurant to others!

Food was absolutely delicious and stunningly presented on each course! One opinion is that the pea shoots as a garnish is unnecessary as the dish itself is beautiful enough without it but besides that everything was just stunning, had a throughly good evening and would definitely recommend to anyone. Thank you so much to Matt and the staff at no 50! Keep up the good work!

Was searching for a nice place to have a fancy dinner on a weekend break, and this seemed to tick all the boxes. We managed to get an early booking, which was lucky as the place filled up quickly once we'd sat down. The staff were welcoming and attentive without being intrusive, top quality service on par with the best restaurants I've eaten in. The menu wasn't huge, but everything on it looked (and smelled) absolutely delicious. Our mains and deserts were fantastic, and perfectly portioned. There were also a number of appetizers I wasn't expecting which were sensational. Having spent most of my life in London, I have to say I was amazed at the value, this sort of experience would cost a least double in a bigger city. It's a new venture (7 weeks old I'm told), but feels well thought out and run by people who know what they're doing. If you're in Rye, or a local, I would...

Very good food indeed. Superb starters of chicken liver parfait and smoked haddock ravioli. The mains were cooked excellently- easy to over cook duck and lamb, but they were delicious and extremely tender. The triple cooked rosemary potatoes were the best I've ever had- I won't be sharing mine next time!!!! The deserts were good too, although the tarte tatin was almost more one a syrup sponge. A little too heavy for us after such an excellent couple of courses, along side the complimentary dishes. The olive bread was soft and very moorish! Very good wine selection too! Service was very friendly and efficient. We are looking forward...
