The hype is real! This place was wonderful; kind attentive staff, delicious authentic food and a very happy bustling atmosphere. Plenty of vegan options also. I recommend getting a selection of the starters; the veg tempura and sweetcorn cakes were especially delicious. The only thing that could be improved (for me) would be if they could have more drinks on offer, as I'm someone who doesn't have soft drinks, wine or beer. if there was a BYOB corkage situation, that would be great! Thank you Lemongrass team for a lovely experience, and squeezing us in at the last minute. (Another tip - book in advance!)

A fanatic little place located just before the land gate in the historic town of Rye. Friendly service awaits you where the table are quaint and idle for a romantic meal for couples. There’s enough room for larger groups too. Food choice was massive and has all the Thai favourites. Food arrived quickly and hot which tasted amazing. Not overly spiced, cooked just right. Well worth a visit for a lovely evening out. We choose the pad Thai which was Amazing. Prices were very reasonable too.

Really nice authentic Thai food. Service was a little slow, ordered drinks on arrival but they didn’t arrive until after our starter and three reminders. Proprietor/staff very pleasant though so still worth a 4. Quiet when we arrived at 7pm on a Saturday. Just a few elderly couples. Got busier (and noisier) as the evening progressed and it started to fill up. Overall a very pleasant evening.

Went twice during our 9 night stay in Rye - the food is absolutely delicious! Full of fresh ingredients - plenty of lime and mint which I adore!

Had the green curry with vegetables and no tofu - I explained that I was a vegan allergic to tofu so the very smiley lady wrote in big letters no tofu, took the order into the kitchen and I heard her so no tofu; when I went back to collect she again showed me the order ticket with no tofu written on it and showed me the lid that said no tofu.

I went in early evening and there was one large table in, they seemed to be enjoying themselves and had ordered a variety of dishes.

My husband had the chicken red curry and chicken Penang curry - he said they were both delicious. Our son loved the prawn crackers from there as did my husband.

The prices are common for the area but the takeaway portions felt on the small side - it wouldn’t stop me from ordering in the future but I did want more! It was so tasty.

I had a bad experience here a few years back and swore to never return but a friend explained it was under new ownership and the food was amazing - they were absolutely right and I’m so glad I listened.

Ordering was very easy and they take card payments now.

There are plenty of vegan and vegetarian dishes; they take allergies and intolerances seriously. There’s on-street parking after 6pm and a little carpark with a nominal fee about a three...

Booked a table for mothers day a month before as I thought they would be busy, day arrived we went into the restaurant only to be greeted by a witch of a women barking questions at me loud enough that everyone turned to watch I told her I had a table booked she then said I hadn't booked for the correct number of people whilst looking at my little one like he was a piece of dirt. She pointed to a table in the middle of the restaurant but by now my family felt very uncomfortable I suggested we get a take away and asked the witch for a takeaway menu, she slammed it down on the counter and stormed off into the back. Needless to say we didn't order anything from there. Would not recommend if you have kids as they are clearly not welcome and would not recommend as its shocking service before I'd even...

A wonderful experience, we had the fish cake and the scallops to start (fish cake was flavourful and spongey, scallops were cooked to perfection in a ginger and spring onion type sauce), before going in with the tofu pad thai, jasmine rice and seabass chu chi.

Staff very attentive and helpful, seemed to anticipate what we would need before we said anything. Even the smaller details, such as warm plates, garnishings and beer glasses that matched the bottles they came from did not go unchecked. Have had much pricier food elsewhere too.

One of the owners even chased after us down the road as my partner had left her hat behind.

If we come back to Rye we would almost certainly go again. Many...
