The Picnic Basket — Restaurant in Rother

Popped in for a light bite on bank holiday Monday,we only had a bacon sarnie and a cuppa, very very nice,bread thick cut and as fresh as you can get, breakfasts looked really good and will be going back to try this week,prices are very good, very good value.... Returned to try the breakfast on the way home a couple of days later and the full English was spot on, absolutely lovely!!! This will be our go to place for breakfast when in the area for sure!! The only downside is it's not the biggest cafe and was busy on our return abt 10 a.m (not surprising tho) so couldn't get a table straight away but well worth waiting a few...

Don't be fooled by the exterior or the workmen sitting within or even the door which insists on not closing properly whatever repairs they do. This "greasy spoon" is far from oily. In our opinion it is the only place to go to in Bexhill for the best English breakfast. And don't worry if you overdo it. You can walk it off along the seafront which is a stone's throw away. The staff are cheerful. The food yummy. But don't tell everyone...I still want to...
