Istanbul BBQ Kitchen — Restaurant in Rushcliffe

Lovely food. A little too much sweet/lemon on the salads. Friendly service but our experience was on a day where we were the only customers inside... which is sad as its a lovely restaurant with great food.

Ps- in response to your reply, I think you have the wrong person as I am not going to Devon and it was just my sister and I that day... no other tables at lunch time. We came a couple of weeks ago but I just got round to posting this review... also, I use pomegranate molasses on salad at home as I love it, it was just a little overpowering. But I'd definitely order the same again because I enjoyed it very much. The halloumi salad was delicious. I think the addition of cocktail sauce was slightly sweet too so maybe I'll get it without the sauce next time ... your chilli sauce was amazing!!! As you can see, my comment about the food is still rating 5 stars for the food.. I enjoyed it very much and would recommend to anybody. Ordered from here this evening, first time since it’s been taken under new management. The food was absolutely atrocious, the rice was inedible as it was so overcooked, mushy mess. The bulgar and everything else was bland. Not like it was when it first opened. And as for the price, it seems to have doubled! £46 on the most awful Turkish food I’ve ever had. Stick with ala Turk guys, as this is not authentic traditional Turkish. Went for dinner at a quiet time of the evening, there was only one other table but we were kept waiting for an unnecessary amount of time. A man who looked like an owner or manager left us whilst he had a meeting with a waitress on the other side of the restaurant. I even walked over and was told we’d be seen to in a few minutes. When we got food, we asked for salt as the one on our table was damp and would not come out.
