The Wolds, Nottingham - Hungry Horse — Restaurant in Rushcliffe

Food is absolutely awful. Four of us went last week and all had the Mixed Grill. Sausages were unmistakably reheated from Iceland. Chicken had no texture or taste that would make you think it was actually Chicken. Steak was tasteless bit of leather and one of them was almost completely uncooked. Gammon contained Salt quoter for a few months at least. Egg I think could have been egg but want a professional opinion. Chips were likewise reheated.

I didn't know there was such a thing as fake meat until this visit.

Waitresses were young (Greene King can get away with paying them less) / inexperienced but clearly making the best of a bad job & polite so can't really fault them.

We requested doggy bags to take the food home for the family pets.

We made a written complaint to the pub 'manager' and asked for a number to contact. Without waiting for me to call the so called 'manager' sent me the conclusion of his 'full investigation' which unfortunately was very unprofessional, had missed basic important facts, almost accusational and drew a false conclusion.

Certainly won't be visiting any Greene King pubs again. Don't know which was worse the very poor food quality or the way the complaint was handled by a so called 'manager'. A great example of how...

Nice local Hungry Horse, busy Friday and half-term so expected little wait for food, but portions were good and food came in good time .. sizzler was bit cold not really any 'sizzler sizzle' and onions+peppers were soggy felt had just steamed, and veggie burger pattie was cold too so little disappointed with mains! sharing starters of onion rings and nachos were good .. needed a bit more spice but were given a peri sauce when asked.

Service was mixed, ordering at the bar was quick and efficient, when we asked a server for help to clean our table member of staff came and was bit grumpy to clean it, and was left with previous customers food bits just swept onto carpet and sticky table which was not cool! also we ordered a round of extra drinks during the meal using the table App, but again the server who delivered the drinks got items wrong and then grumpy to rectify and no smiles or apologies!

Overall decent pub grub for a Hungry Horse, but service and mains lacking a bit which is a shame as I travel and visit many Greene King pubs and do enjoy a Horse Menu too for a Friday...

My sister and I Went. To your restaurant and nobody wanted to serve us. My sister went to the bar to order our food and was ignored twice! I approach the young lady and she totally ignored me too! I went up to her again, The bartender /waiters asked me is there a problem and I told her yes, we have been waiting a good 10 minutes for somebody to service us! We were totally ignored and I asked her Is it because we're black??! and she didn't know what to Say🤔 My sister was so upset. We left immediately and said we'd leave you a review. You need to train your staff better than this, The bartender in question was tall with short blonde hair.She had a checkered shirt and Trousers). We didn't see any other Black people in this restaurant and I don't know what was going on but I will not be coming back to your restaurant ever again!! My.
