Wow what a horribly basic night out , took my daughter for her 8th birthday for dinner ..... We ordered two mains for adults and two children's meals After selecting our food we sat down at a table , and waited and waited ... the table was sticky and not cleared from the previous guests . The adult food arrived it was underwhelming , everything was luke warm and cooked to death .... I asked where the children's meals were and was told some of the items I had been asked to select were unavailable and would I like to re select .... we started eating and after 10 mins the kids meals arrived , thank god !!! my little one was going crazy watching us ... My daughters chicken was disgusting and bland it looked like it came out of a packet .... all the food served was like ordering a bird's eye frozen meal ... nothing fresh nothing hot .... and very poor quality .... We had a birthday cake ... no plates offered , no forks either and when we ordered coffee we were told there was no milk so they had switched the machine off so there was no tea either .... we ordered 2 cups of water instead . After a long wait it came in dirty cups with food partials floating in the bottom .... disgusting ! what a horribly uncaring bunch of overworked staff ......

Substituted mash for chips, they forgot, they also forgot to give the payable peppercorn sauce which they put on somebody elses plate and said I'd need to pay again if I still wanted it, Coke tasted watery (it must've been Pepsi), lastly the steak was medium-done not medium-rare at which point I was already fuming. If the bar staff hadn't been polite, I'd only give this place 1 star but clearly they're tied by some frugal policy. I came here because I felt like a hungry horse, normally I'd give the plate back but seeing as it takes a while to arrive, I just ate what was given in disgust. There's probably a reason why you need to pay the food first before eating, so the kitchen staff can take advantage of the waiters who have to face the consequences for their incompetence. They've earned the other star as it is relatively good value for money and the portions are generous. Didn't bother me so much that the tables were dirty but it does seem rather unprofessional not to try and retain their reputation by offering a solution than to assume that I'd be ok with this. Chances are, the manager has no idea what happened. Might come back here again but not...

It's OK for a pub grub.... we have been to the hungry horse but the visit we made over the weekend of the 11th off December 2022 was a complete disaster we got there on time 1330 pm we made our order about 5 minutes after that it then took a good hour before we had to ask were it was we were told that it was delayed because a party off 29 had come in and they were all serving it...well eventually we were served about 20 minutes after us asking about it it My wife had the Sunday roast dinner it was luke warm if you're asking for a Sunday roast you might expect roast potatoes in it called a serving girl asked if someone forgot to put them on the plate anyway cut a very long story short were had the dinner we ordered puddings for us and grand kids sat and waited 30ish more minutes still no show asked again were it was it seems they lost the order remember i paid at the counter before sitting down so we had to wait for our pudding and not just walking out as we wanted to so we was there sitting around for 2 hours I DON'T RECOMMEND the hungry horse farnborough . ps to be fair they did refund the price of the dinner after we...
