I stayed at the Village Hotel for a couple of nights and decided to dine at the Pub & Grill during our evenings there.
The drinks at the Pub & Grill were reasonably priced, which was a pleasant surprise. However, I must admit that I found the food to be a bit on the expensive side. Specifically, I ordered the Katsu Curry, and I was quite disappointed to find that it lacked any spices and was rather bland in taste, especially considering its price (£16.50).
Additionally, there was an offer to receive a slightly discounted dessert (a £2 discount) with a main meal. Unfortunately, I learned that this had to be ordered simultaneously with the main course. Even though our group collectively spent almost £300 over the two evenings, the staff seemed unwilling to show any flexibility regarding this policy.
From a business perspective, this struck me as somewhat short-sighted, and it leaves me with the impression that they prioritize strict adherence to their rules over customer satisfaction. Given this experience, I'm inclined to avoid dining at this establishment if I were to return to the Village Hotel...

On the bright side, the burgers were a hit—both types were delicious, earning them a solid 3 stars. My wife’s vegetarian pasta also scored high marks for taste, which helped redeem the meal.
Now, about my dessert saga: I had to chase it down three times and waited a good 20-30 minutes. When it finally arrived, it was lukewarm and lackluster. Not much else to say there, so I won't.
