Brunchville — Restaurant in Salford

Would not recommend!

Arrived as a walk in for 2 people & there was only one other table of 2 in at the time. I ordered a benglish breakfast whilst the other guest ordered the eggs benecado, 2 cold drinks each and 2 hot drinks which amount to just over £30. My benglish breakfast arrived faster than the hot drinks did which was somewhat worrying as I think about 5 minutes had passed since going to the counter to order, another 5 minutes later the other dish still hadn't arrived and neither had the coffees at which point I looked across to the waiter who proceeded to shout across the room "it's coming", the dish arrived a few minutes later shortly followed by a latte and rose tea. The drinks were placed on the table and I immediately spotted a short black hair in the top of the rose tea and I informed the staff member before he'd left the table, he picked up the coffee and attempted to use his finger to remove the hair before thinking better of it (likely at the face of disgust i was wearing) - not one single word was spoken from him throughout this encounter nor when he brought me a fresh drink over. My breakfast was okay, the Sausages were tasty and so was the beans but I couldn't eat much as I was put off. The other guests food was somewhat of a pathetic display, the waffle beneath did not appear to be toasted at all and was a soggy mess beneath a brick of avocado with almost raw poached eggs on top (that or they were poached poorly and had water in them). My tea arrived and I offered the rest of my breakfast to the other guest before we got up and left, there was no apology or recognition from the staff, there was also no check in with our meals despite hearing and seeing the other table recieve this service. Fast forward half hour on the way back home we had to pull over at a supermarket as the other guests stomach did not feel very settled (I don't think I need to explain further) and 45 minutes after this I too had an upset stomach and the other guest is complaining of feeling quite unwell.

Again, would not recommend when there were so many other lovely looking establishments on...

Very disappointed with the food here. It’s not often I leave a negative review. I ordered a veggie Benglish breakfast and my husband ordered the meat one. The menu says ‘Veggie Sausages’ - however they were veggie fingers not the meat free veggie one this should have been specified on the menu. The mushrooms were stone cold and the tomato was not ‘grilled’.

We also ordered 2 Karak chais- they should NOT be advertised as Karak, it was basically a chai latte -i. e no tea, pure milk sugar and cinnamon syrup. You can’t serve this to south Asians labelling it as Karak when it was the complete opposite.

We are annoyed that we spent £25 and my husband sat with a face on that I brought him here and didn’t even finish the food. Would defo not recommend. Very very disappointed.

Firstly, I’m not saying I’ve been 100% satisfied elsewhere, but it was THAT poor here that it warranted an honest review but thanks for your sarcastic reply.

Browsing through the other negative reviews here I’m not the first one to complain and judging by your responses we certainly won’t be the last. The responses you’ve provided show that you do not value your customers or their opinions which is a massive red flag.

As paying customers we shouldn’t have to call staff over to notify them of cold food, what would they have done, taken the mushrooms and tomatoes individually and reheated them- err no thanks!

Turning to your karak chai comments- I don’t think I’ve been to a single place where they use a milk frother to make desi tea. And in future you may want to take your customers feed back on board. Just some food for...

First off u cant even find the place because its so hidden and the sign is so small u cannot even find it, we got there at it still took half an hour to acc find the place we had to call the actual resturant snd even after that we were unable to find it but eventually we did (Suggest a bigger sign) and when we finally got there, they make us feel so rushed, didn't feel welcomed at all, never felt so rushed in my life, came at 3/3:15ish and the first thing they asked was “why have u came so late”??? Clearly says it closes at 4.... Change the close timing to 3pm then.....then when we was ready to order they didnt come to The table to take the order for agess, workers walked past so many times avoiding eye contact and they could Clearly see we was ready to order, especially coz we was legit the only customers at the ‘restaurant’ at that time,,, so we had to go to them and place order at till, which doesnt make sense ???? Its restaurant?, the food came snd the sausage seemed uncooked and i was scared to eat them, the rave about this place seemed so good but its not all that and the staff r rude af And dunno how to host, if u go to this place make sure u go early lol coz apparently it doesn't close at 4 and be prepared to go to the till to order even tho they come to ur table 10 mins later after u got ur food to ask how it is??jarringggggg af? Like let me eat in peace fs, Staff couldn't come before and was avoiding eye contact so why u coming to the table now? Its a mess of a place , actual joke, and the seating the interior of the place is ac very ugly...
