Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Salford

For the second time I walked in this Costa coffee and I had a very bad experience. The employees cannot clearly do their job properly and it seems they are doing what they want to do themselves and not what the company asking them to do. The first time I have asked for a mango frappe for my daughter and they told me that it was no ice and they could not do it!!! Second time- after 2 weeks asked for a mango frappe and they cannot do it again and the excuse was the machine and not enough staff!!! When after 5minutes another colleague came and I asked her again for it just to double check and she sold it with no excuse as she didn’t know I have asked for it before and the other colleague that saw the situation told her quietly that she was not supposed to do it and she replied that she wasn’t aware of that as they always sold it in that shop. This happened this last Friday for about 16:30pm. I think this is just disgusting and they should have more training and someone there to lead them so they can do their work properly. Went on Saturday (09.10.2021) at 17:20 for a quick coffee and a sandwich and was quite dissatisfied with the service. I’ve asked for a caramel cappuccino (confirmed by the barista and paid for that) and received a latte instead (without the caramel). When I mentioned that I ordered a caramel cappuccino I was contradicted that I ordered a latte. I said that’s fine, I was on a rush. And then they’ve added the caramel to it (so the order was wrong altogether). Then we sat down and the staff started to brush around our table (it was 17:30). I get that they were rushing to go home but I don’t think it’s right start cleaning up while we were still eating and drinking our coffees (not to mention the dust and the noise). We finished pretty quick and left at 17:50 which left them 10 minutes to clean up. Disappointed. What has happened to Costa!? This branch of Costa is perfectly located for me as it’s about 500 yards from my flat but I will be avoiding it moving forwards. About ten times over the past few months, I’ve gone in to get my usual coffee with oat milk and I’ve been told that there is no oat milk. How difficult is it to order enough oat milk!? Shelf life isn’t even an excuse because oat milk lasts for ages. Literally all you do is sell coffee so surely it’s not difficult to have milk options that are now probably just as popular as dairy. It’s like McDonald’s not having any chips, it wouldn’t happen. After the disappoint at my local branch I then went to a different Costa, that had oat milk but only had small cups, I despair.
