I booked 9th - 11th Mar, 2 nights stay. To be honest, me and my gf was quite happy when we first live in. The room was clean and big. However, this morning, a lady she said she is manager, she knocked our door 3-4time within a hour to tell my gf to get out. My gf was going to pay for one more night and the so-called manager was aware of that. But her attitude was very very bad. The worst part is she break into the room without my gf's permission. We know the check out time is 12pm. My gf already told her that she will come downstairs soon to make the payment for another night. However, this extremely rude lady not only break into our room, but also treat me very badly when I tried to argue with her. Moreover, there is a guy age between 45-60, look like a manager too, also extremely rude. When we went into the hotel, there is a glass door that needs to be open manually, he checks our room card everytime even if we lived there 1 night already, that's fine, but his attitude is very bad. Without say any thanks or excuse me. This is the worst hotel I have ever lived in the UK. We Don't feel that we were welcomed at all. They treated us in a very rude and unfair way. I don't know if the lady manager has discrimination on us due to we were Asian. When I asked her, she didn't explain but kept shouting at me… saying I didn't know her background.

The hotel is a charming accommodation that offers a wonderful experience for travellers. The blend of modern aesthetics with the historic architecture of the brickwork and woodwork created an inviting atmosphere. The location was excellent, situated right by the picturesque river and within walking distance of many of Manchester’s attractions. The location is convenient and provides easy access to multiple shops and restaurants in the Centre. There is a free bus from Manchester Piccadilly station whose stop is a few minutes from the hotel. The hotel rooms were the highlight of my stay, boasting a blend of comfort and elegance while maintaining their historic elements of brick walls. The room was spacious and neatly arranged providing all the amenities one would expect. The decor was tasteful and soothing and the bathroom was spotless. The food at the restaurant was delicious. Breakfast buffet was impressive offering a wide selection of items to suit various tastes. Hotel staff were attentive and courteous, ready and happy to assist with any inquiries or requests. The housekeeping staff ensured the rooms were impeccable during my stay and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was commendable. I would gladly return to the hotel on my next trip to Manchester.

I had a wonderful stay at Manchester Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel! The hotel's striking Grade II listed building in the vibrant Spinningfields District was a sight to behold. The hotel rooms and suites were stylish and well-equipped with modern amenities.

One of the highlights of my stay was dining at Chop & Plant, the hotel's casual drinking and dining destination. The blend of Chop House classics and plant-based dishes, with a focus on local produce and sustainability, was impressive. As a sustainability-conscious traveler, I appreciated the hotel's commitment to sustainability.

The location of the hotel was also fantastic, with many attractions within minutes of the hotel. I enjoyed watching Manchester United at Old Trafford, shopping along Deansgate, and taking in a concert at the AO Arena. The newly opened RHS Bridgewater was also a lovely place to stroll around and enjoy nature.

The hotel's event spaces, including the outdoor terrace and ballroom, were flexible and well-equipped for hosting events. The catering and planning services provided by the hotel were top-notch, making my event a success.

The amenities provided by the hotel were excellent. The free Wi-Fi, room service, and daily housekeeping were convenient and made my stay comfortable. The 24-hour room service and wake-up calls were also helpful.

I also appreciated the hotel's commitment to being a smoke-free property. The cleanliness and fresh air were noticeable throughout my stay.

Lastly, I would like to commend the hotel for their pet policy. While pets were not allowed, except for guide dogs, it showed their consideration for guests with allergies and sensitivities.

Overall, my experience at Manchester Marriott Victoria & Albert Hotel was exceptional. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the hotel's commitment to sustainability, modern amenities, and convenient location made my stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Manchester!

♦️Recommended?: yes ♦️Room budget: Around £130± ♦️Parking?: On-the-spot parking available. But if you don't park on their white parking bay or not register your car plate in receptions, you might...

I’m staying in this hotel as I write this review. The staff are lovely and very friendly and it’s in a useful location. I chose to eat here cos I was tired after travelling. Honestly I wish I just ordered food to my room via Deliveroo. The menu was very limited choices. I had fish and chips and it was mediocre. Bit mushy underneath. Burnt at the edges. No tartare sauce. Very expensive £23 for Wetherspoons worthy cooking. My £11 old fashioned cocktail was just neat whiskey with some ice cubes. No simple syrup was added.

As I was a business guest booked using an agency they’ve obviously chucked me in one of the awful rooms, despite me saying to the receptionist if I could have a quiet room cos I can’t sleep well away from home. Like other reviewers I can confirm that the sound proofing is none existent between rooms. I can clearly hear the room above me and either side. stamping around and giggling and being noisy. They’ve placed me next to some stairs and there’s periodically a really loud scraping noise of some description. I’m not sure if it’s plumbing or what. It goes on loudly all night. Like there’s someone dragging chairs in a big hall. I could t sleep at all it kept waking me up. The bathroom suffers from plumbing issues. The toilet lets backing up and pulling up things that no one wants to see. The air con is broke. The light outside the room is bright, clearly illuminating the door when you’re trying to sleep. It is honestly one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in.

The rooms are very tired and need a revamp. And my biggest pet hate of all. No plugs for charging phones near the bed. The nearest one is on the desk at then the side of the room. So annoying.

The breakfast was very mediocre. The beans were ice cold. Coffee was lukewarm. Not the worst I’ve ever had. But not the best either.

Would not recommend if you value sleep and are easily triggered by noise or have an important work event...
