I used to love this takeaway but after the service I received on my last visit I’ll never be ordering from here again and making sure everyone I know follows suit. The female worker I encountered insisted her name was Pinky (laughable) and after getting food from here since it was new open always getting the same order (1 patty on a burger even though they all come with 2 patty’s) and I’ve never had any issues, I had actually always been treated very well and would travel out of my way to come to this franchise. Back to the point when I went to order online it wouldn’t let me and I had to call up to place a collection order, I added all my items and when it came to the price £7 was added my original price online was £33 and this Pinky was charging me £40 something which I wanted to know what was exactly adding up to an extra £7! The woman would not let me call to speak to the manager instead she lied to me thinking I was a new customer telling me she is the manager, she also would not give me a receipt or anything to prove why the price was £40 over £33, instead she wanted to take my phone to prove it ? Which I still don’t understand how she could have added up the cost with my phone and not without it (LAUGHABLE!). Hope your service was worth it as my uncle is a food reviewer and I’m going to make sure a post on my experience is made.
The worst part is if I’m being charged for extra why does some salad and ketchup cost £7 something when the patty I get you to take off saves you money itself (LAUGHABLE)
Sad to never eat here again but happier to never accept being spoken to...
Read moreThe Manchester burger scene is very populated at this time. I think Franksters definitely deserves a spot within the burger scene.
The food was good quality. We had the classic chicken burger, the main chicken burger and the Franksters smash burger. All the burgers tasted good. The smash burger with the potato bun being our favourite. The chips were good size and very well seasoned.
We would say that the prices for the meal were definitely higher than other places in Manchester. I think this would be justified if it wasn't a dark kitchen and you could eat inside. However, this could be due to the location being near city centre.
We did order through the website for a certain time around 30 minutes before. Upon arrival, the food did take an extra 20 minutes despite their being only one other customer around. They are a newly open establishment so I took this into consideration. Also, I must add that complimentary extra chill cheese bites and sauces were included for the wait time, which was generous.
Overall, if you are in the area it's definitely a good spot to check out and get some...
Read moreCame after the flurry of reviews on social media. Didn’t quite live up to the hype unfortunately. Amusingly it looks like a temporary portakabin and you order on the website. They have discount codes available. I really enjoyed the Angus loaded fries and the beef was cooked really well and flavourful - I can imagine the beef burger is a decent shout.
Unfortunately I was not personally a fan of the main chicken burger as it did not have much flavour or spice to it. It needs more salt. It was also a bit too sweet? And the coleslaw was overpowering particularly the onion, would personally prefer with either less onion or only lettuce instead. But it was a decent size and cooked well
What upset me though was the price of the main chicken burger. £13.49 for the burger on its own. £6 more than the already expensive £7.49 classic chicken burger. That’s beyond extortionate and borderline disrespectful. I can’t believe this isn’t a mistake and would encourage them to rectify this. The most popular chicken burgers in this city are less than £5!
Recommend the Angus fries but stay away from...
