I did visit Moorings in the Worsley 23rd of May , I did order some food and drink, I'm an old customer for this place since 2012 and I can say Moorings is changed a lot in bad way not good way , I didn't receive my order yet but I will leave a review after I received my food but the menu is changed to a very bad menu and the good items already gone including Mixed Grill , I have to say staffs not friendly as before and they not doing a wide service as it was before, I asked them questions and they even didn't stop for a second to talk to me just answered in the way walking away from my table , that is very disrespectful and really annoying , I remember that time when Fayre and Square was running this place , it was amazing as well as after that every time we came to Moorings it was a disaster and today is worsen ever , I did make the comment to the incharge manager , and she was very aggressive and with a very bad attitude , even I did mention to her about I'm a long time customer for this place and I had a bad experience and I will report that to the owner and she said what owner ,  now I had the food as well tge waste in the steaks was a lot I will include pictures, the salad was very bad and limp vegetables, fries was reheated or over heated and smell of meat wasn't fresh as it have to be , I believe you need to make a review on your quality and service and also staff's trainings .

Used to love this place, unfortunately is not the same as per our last visit. We waited for our food over an hour (we were advised we will have to wait around 40 min.but after an hour we had to go to bar to ask about our food) kids portion of squid £1.99 doesn't feel much different from an adult one that cost around £5 😅... Nice looking prawns and chorizo starter on menu that cost over £6 was served cold and with uncooked prawns (after an over hour wait 😅) no one from service didn't even bothered to come to ask, if food is ok, or we need anything else... Whooping over £15 mixed grill looked like kids menu grill, with 2 burned onions rings and a burned piece of pineapple to hide the rest of nothing in the plate 🤣😅 Being honest the only good thing from dinner was a wine 😅 (and is not cheap!!) not coming back again ... 🫣

So enjoyed this our first visit and far exceeded our expectations- easy and free to park by simple registering your vehicle at the console by the bar. Spacious, well lit, beautifully set out with windows offering views of the canal basin ,its boats and nice canal walks in both directions. Friendly and very welcoming staff. Plenty of tables inside and on the terraces outside. Lovely atmosphere and ambiance and includes historic photos of canal and boating life. Dog and child/ family friendly. Usy on our mid lunchtime mid week visitGreat selection on menu and reasonable prices and such delicious food ( great coffee too) Will certainly visit again soon and likely do so regularly from hence. Thanks to all the staff for making our visit a marvellous experience . I'd highly recom end this lovely pub restaurant.

First time me and my partner have visited this pub after a long walk and it was the nearest place to sit down to have a drink and to watch the football, we got our drinks and found a place to sit and at first it was great but I noticed after about 20 minutes of being there it started to full up with more people and I would say 20% of them had dogs. We have no problem being around dogs but where we was sat/eating area there seemed to be more and more dogs, now I can understand pubs allowing dogs in but we were planning to have something to eat but it just really put me off and the longer we sat there it was getting to much. After about 50 minutes of being sat down a dog started to bark which then set off other dogs to bark and the noise at one point was unreal and I could see other people weren't very happy with this situation, I thought at this point the bar staff or manager of the bar would do or say something but nothing happened. I would be true in saying if all of this wouldn't have happened then we would have stayed for a few hours with it being the weekend but we just had to leave, I will say we will not be returning here and I can't really see anything being done about this situation, I feel the owners should think about their customers because it is a love pub with a great view, I can't say I wouldn't recommend this pub to anyone.. such a sad...

Like to stop here whilst out walking... dog friendly, massive outside area, good food drink selection, some can feel pricey especially when it's almost £4 for a side of chips that literally has about 10 frozen chips on it! But other stuff is OK... need to FILL your cups when doing tea though, for some unknown reason Greene King pubs all seem to only fill halfway IF YOU ARE LUCKY! Often get as much milk as water! Staff are really nice, always seems to be a generally pleasant crowd there when it's busy Edit to add: Greene King, your reply is acknowledged, thanks, and of course I'm sure I could of course get more water added to my cup any time I ask... but a couple of things... 1. Shouldn't have to ask. It should be full. Your tea isn't cheap, which is fine, but whatever it is served in it should be full, not just under half way which is what I always receive in any Greene King (only the tea... nothing else is served by only half!) ...2. I'm not going to. Tea brews in whatever it is served in. The vessel should receive tea, then boiling water, in that order... you should not be adding more water as that ruins the flavour, makes it watery... would have though that would be common knowledge for anyone working in a company that primarily serves...
