Why Not ? Cafe-bar — Restaurant in Salford

This place is quirky with a capital Q. There's a record player upstairs and a wall full of LPs to choose from while you eat. We went to 'why not' for a late lunch on a week day. There were 5 adults, 1 small child and a baby. Plus points.. the serving staff were polite, helpful, pleasant and patient. The food was really tasty, delicious, well presented and with really good portion sizes . The menu covered good variety of dietary needs and the meals served were all correct.. very impressive. Not much in the way of minuses, baby changing area missing... maybe, but generally and wholeheartedly a massive recommendation from me. Heard they have live music on a Thursday...

This was the only option in the area, so decided to have some tea before heading away for the weekend.

We got there just in the nick of time! To drink, I got a soya latte with chocolate syrup, a sort of mocha, it was ok.

I wanted to try the hotdog after reading the rave review on Happy Cow but unfortunately it’s no longer vegan. Opted for the burger instead! Got chips as a side order. A great bar, happy cool vibe with a nice relaxed atmosphere and trendy decor, the staff are awesome with the owner Colin is really interactive, mixing with the customers keeping them happy, good choice of ales and Gins. Caters for the children with milkshakes, chocolate bars and crisps, We had Chicken Goujon burger and potato chips, fully loaded chips and salsa, two hotdogs from a local hotdog maker, not garbage out of a tin, all for 20 quid......
