We came here last week spent over £200 on* food and drinks had the best service and dining experience in a long while, we came today just because of how good it was. Today was absolutely horrific to say the least the manager on the door called Michael was so rude and arrogant I was honestly lost for words. He asked us what we want to order I said the same as I did last week; 2 sharing platters but wanted to substitute the normal fries for sweet potato as I have a massive intolerence to normal potatoes, he began to spin a barrel of lies about how the chefs kick off about it and then claimed it’s because they are more expensive 0.60 extra for what would of been over £100 worth of food. That seems like the silliest business idea I have ever heard of. We tipped the kitchen £10 last time and I explained all this to him how it’s not a very wise business decision to be like that and he rudely said we are going round in circles we aren’t doing it they shouldn’t do it in the first place and that’s that. I don’t get spoken to that by random people in the street let alone someone waiting on my table I highly suggest you do your Due diligence and educate this MICHAEL about 1. How to speak to customers & 2. About making reasonable business decisions. If we chose to eat inside and was served by an actual Server who are always polite and courtious we would already be eating what we had last Sunday followed by the same tip. This MICHAEL really needs to fix his attitude it was beyond comprehension and from a manager as well is wild and for reference to anyone else coming in. His description is wearing a sock beanie with a solid fringe avoid at all costs the guy will ruin your experience. I asked for a review card after his awful interactions he came out put it on my table and tried to walk away swiftly without me even catching his name. Diabolical.*** PICTURE OF FOOD IS REFERENCE TO LAST SUNDAY & YOU CAN SEE LOOKS GOOD WITH SWEET POTATO FIRES *** & now as we sit drinking drinks he’s just staring at me through the window like a child.*UPDATE STAYED FOR AN HOUR OR TWO FOR DRINKS AND NOT ONCE DID HE REMOVE MY EMPTY GLASSES, I ALSO ASKED BAR STAFF TO TURN HEAT LAMPS ON AS IT WAS 8:00PM HE SAID HE HAD TO ASK THE MANAGER AKA SOCK BEANIE, HEAT LAMPS NEVER CAME ON EVEN THOUGH LAST SUNDAY THEY WAS ON FROM 5PM. THE GUY NEEDS A REALITY CHECK

Came in tonight after work with my partner and close friends (4 of us in total) we asked for 4 cocktails, to which our waitress point blank refused even though we all presented our I.D we then went on to order food 4 mains and 2 starters as we wanted to share we were then told that we couldn’t have starters as not all of us were ordering one, working in the hospitality industry myself I know that this shouldn’t have been a problem but agreed to have it all together, when our mains arrived mine and my freinds chicken was practically raw, we then told our waitress Phoebe about this matter to be met with the worst attitude I have ever seen she told us that this is how the chicken is cooked and to deal with it we then asked if we could split our bill so we could leave and we were told to do it ourselves, I have been to Karen’s diner on multiple occasions and this experience is by far worse than the establishment I will not be returning, ps please teach your staff how to be polite to customers.

After a previous visit a couple of weeks ago, we were left thinking that the service could be much improved as we were dealt with by a very flippant and quite frankly rude server with no care for our experience. No complaints whatsoever about the food or venue, but the hospitality we received was seriously lacking. Shame we didn’t get her name! However we decided to give Salford Quays another go as we genuinely enjoy Caribbean food and the atmosphere at Turtle Bay is always lively and fun. We’re so glad we gave it another go as tonight we were hosted by Dani who producers such a different, positive and enjoyable experience! She genuinely could not have been more lovely, attentive and so cheerful! She was very informative with menu items, drinks and so pleasant throughout. We went for the Jerk Platter for Two which more than filled us and was absolutely delicious! Dani, thank you; you have restored our faith in exceptional service!!! 🩷

I had the pleasure of Lunch at the turtle bay and was truly impressed by the exceptional service provided by our waitress, Phoebe. From the moment we were seated until the end of our meal, her professionalism and attentiveness were truly remarkable.

Phoebe greeted us with a warm and friendly smile, making us feel immediately welcome. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and offered excellent recommendations, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of delightful.

Throughout the meal, Phoebe displayed impeccable timing, ensuring our drinks were always topped up and that our courses were served promptly. Her attention to detail was evident as she anticipated our needs, such as providing extra napkins or checking if everything was to our satisfaction.

What truly set Phoebe apart was her genuine and personable nature. She engaged in pleasant conversation without ever intruding on our privacy, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Her dedication to making our afternoon special was evident in every aspect of her service.

In addition to her exceptional service, Pgoebe exhibited a high level of professionalism and grace under pressure, even when the restaurant was busy. She managed multiple tables with ease, never compromising the quality of her service.

Overall, Phoebe elevated our Lunch experience to a memorable one. Her exceptional service, friendly demeanor, and professionalism are a true credit to the restaurant. I would highly recommend lunch at this establishment and, in particular, having Phoebe as your server. She undoubtedly deserves recognition for her outstanding contributions to the...

I forgot to take photo's unfortunately but this was my first visit to this branch of Turtle Bay on Wenesday 11/ 6/ 2025. I've been to the one in Oldham St. Manchester many times, which is part of the trendy Northern Quarter. What I enjoyed more about this one at Salford Quays was the it was more laid back and we had fantastic service from Mike at the bar and pleasant conversation. We quenched our thirst with a really good crisp Carib lager. I'd been cycling on a very hot day with a friend and talking to Mike who ran the bar and served the food while we sat in the shade at a table outside. I'll be going back very soon so will update this revue with some photo's. I love Caribbean food and Mike gave us a sample of some tasty Akee rolls with a delicate dressing. We ordered Barbecue ribs that just fell off the bone and melted in the mouth. We also had a half chicken with coconut rice. It was the perfect lunch and compliments to Mike for impeccable service and pleasant conversations, it just made eating there all the more perfect...I'm a fan of Reggae music which is always playing in the background which just rounds off the atmosphere. The price of everything we had was probably one of the best and most reasonable prices considering the local competition in the trendy Salford Quays area. You cant beat a meal for 2 with lagers included for...
