Amigos Pizza (Wednesbury) — Restaurant in Sandwell

Personally, this is my number one pizza place. I only ever order over the phone but delivery is generally swiftly executed, I don't believe they take too long taking into account the fact that I only really order on weekends and the demand the shop must have (they take approx, 1 hour).

Despite this, the food is always hot when it arrives, making you FEEL like it's just been made and presented before you. You can order pizzas that are either deep or thin pan (an option which isn't found among all stores these days) and the quality will still remain high.

The side products are pretty good too, though options like burgers and the chicken wings aren't exactly perfect. However, I find it unlikely that anyone would go to a pizza joint for such products, so I find no need to deduct a star for such an irrelevant factor.

The prices are pretty good, considering the quality of food. Obviously more expensive than your average pizza store but I'd say the quality is closer to establishments like Pizza Hut or Domino's, yet the price is still slightly below these, which is logical given the reputation of Amigo's in contrast to these two companies. So I think the prices are warranted.

Im going to give it 3 stars purely because its the only takeaway pizza i will eat. I never normally have an issue but this is the 3rd time and today has really pssed me off. We order for collection as we live a good 25 minute drive. But im picky so it is what it is. I order for collection as usual and it says 40 minute wait i think they must have pressed the wrong button so i phone up to double check and nope 40 minute wait. I have already written in the notes well done and crispy. I then reminded the women on the phone. Well id been waiting 50 minutes at this point and reminded the women well done and crispy. So 3 times. The women then shows me this pale pizza. And asks is this enough i honestly wanted to crawl up my own ase not only had i been waiting 50 minutes but 3 times id requested it a certain way to be brought out wrong. So now my side orders are going cold whilst they put the pizza back in. Now a one off i dont mind but im a regular (every friday) and they know me because i like it basically near burnt. But this is the 3rd time its happened and ive been ignored. Its just a pure joke. To be waiting that long for COLLECTION for the order to be wrong when reminded 3 times. I rate this pizza shop and it is genuinely the only pizza shop i eat from but 50 minutes and then have to wait further? Sort it out as your loosing...

Decent food and prices aren’t bad, messed our orders up a few times lately though and took forever to deliver today, driver didn’t seem to care one bit though. Not impressed by the service here!

Just finished the food, the box claims that it is hot and tasty, perhaps it should be changed to warm and okay. Wasn’t that hot and the wings were dreadful. There was barely any meat on them and they were dryer than a nun’s... you know. The other chicken was okay, but way too greasy, and the fries were really soggy and pretty bad overall.

In summary, the food was really disappointing, and far from the great quality claimed by other reviewers. Feel free to take a gamble and order from here, but be prepared to be disappointed. I know that I’ll be ordering elsewhere in future!

Edit: Gave them another try, but wish I hadn't. Still took forever to arrive and the chicken was cold. Seems they haven't learned...
