If I could give the staff a minus 1, I think it would be too much. Understandably, the bar was busy as it was a sunny Friday afternoon..stood at the bar in a queue only to be over looked as the bar girl Meg decided to serve people infront and behind me because they were her "regulars". A customer noticed this and called her out on this on my behalf. Rather than apologise and take accountability for her wrong doing, she decided to become sarcastic and rude towards myself and the lovely gentleman who stepped in for me.. Now because I challenged her at the bar, she clearly decided to have a conversation about this with her colleague infront of me (the young girl with the double nose piercings).
As myself and my friend was leaving, I went up to the girl with the nose piercings to ask a simple question about the food, she clearly had a grievance with me as she was very dismissive and rude. At that point I just walked off.
The pub and the food itself are great but the staff need an attitude transplant because they have no form of customer service whats so ever!
As business owner myself, I'd of put the 2 girls in back of house as they do not meet the requirements to serve front of house! They spoilt my experience and i left with a bad taste.
With all that being said, the lady with the dark hair and the lovely unusual name is an asset to you public house, give...
Read moreIts probaly fair to say that some Wetherspoons are better than others. Sadly on my last visit The Bellwether was not seen be one of their finest. Far from it in fact, as whilst the food quality was satisfactory (but cold by the time Icould eat it), the service was particularly poor.
09:00, breakfast time. Long wait at the bar to order food, and when it arrived, the coffee machine was out of order. Pointed out to waitress that breakfast was getting cold. Very poor attitude from waitress demonstrated including waving arms about followed by the sound of doors slamming whilst she got milk for the machine....
Dirty cutlery provided meant another trip to the bar to request replacement.
Lurpack supplied was liquid, indicating that it had been kept near heat , which was not my breakfast as by now this was well on the way to being cold. So, yet another trip to the bar to ask for some spread that could be used.
I'm still waiting for someone to ask if everything was ok..........
All in all, a very unsatisfactory experience. Based on the last experience, The Bellwether is not recommended. Other places...
Read moreWe arrived at 4pmwhere we sat ourselves down on a table covered in coffee and salt to which we cleaned ourselves, great covid regulations by 4:30 we had our food and no drinks... The pub did not have a large amount of people inside or outside else I could excuse this issue. Our food came out and our cutlery was wrapped up in the napkins pictured below, I'm not sure if they're collecting the napkins after each customer uses them and are washing them for use by others so we kindly asked for our drinks and replacement cutlery we got told yeah it will be 2 mins theres.aome being washed however 3 people behind us ordered meals after we asked for fresh cutlery so we kindly reminded the same waitress who said they would be right out that was after 10 mins of waiting we have now finished our food which was probably the worst food I've had for this wetherspoons, however I can say the manager who gave us napkins at the end of our meal after our hands were covered in grease and food and Corona virus was the best part of my...
