This place is a travesty of a coffee shop, a disgrace to the noble art of brewing and baking. It is obvious that the glowing reviews are either fabricated or written by clueless youngsters who flock to this place lured by its convenient location to a school across the road. But do not be fooled by the deceptive images or the inflated ratings. This place has nothing to offer but disappointment and disgust.
The space is cramped and claustrophobic, barely enough room to swing a cat. The only baked goods on display are some discount store muffins stuffed in the corner, because they "dont serve cakes"... this is not just weird but sacrilegious, how it can call itself a coffee shop whilst declining to serve cake? The menu is uninspired and bland, the nightmare then hits you as a foul cooking smoke permeates the entire shack and clings to your clothes and hair. You will leave this place smelling like a grease trap.
The coffee is watery and weak, more like a milky drink than a caffeinated beverage. The only redeeming feature is the latte art, talk about putting lipstick on a pig! The music is a muffled and distorted radio that plays sinister 1980s dining music as if it were an 80s Tupperware party, which occasionally cuts out when the batteries die. It adds nothing to the atmosphere, which is awkward and kitschy.
This is not a decent coffee shop by any stretch of the imagination. It is a desperate and dismal attempt to cash in on the coffee craze, but it fails miserably. It needs a complete overhaul, from the beans to the baristas, from the menu to the cakes, from the ventilation to the decoration. It also needs reviews from people who have some taste and experience, not from those who have never ventured beyond their own 'yard'.
The only positive thing I can say about this place is that the service was friendly and attentive, despite the accents. Hardly enough to save this place from being a...
Read moreI visited Aneta’s Kitchen this morning while working in the area and found the place through Google Maps — and I’m glad I did! From the moment I walked in, the experience was outstanding. The waiter who served me (and the other guests) was incredibly professional, friendly, and made us feel like we were in a 5-star hotel. It’s rare to come across such genuine hospitality these days.
The atmosphere was spot on — calm, welcoming, and exceptionally clean. You could tell the staff take real pride in the place. As for the food, it was absolutely delicious and clearly made with care.
If you're in the area, don’t think twice — Aneta’s Kitchen is definitely worth a visit. Highly...
Read moreA small but very well organized business with friendly staff, quality food and very reasonable prices. The staff were very pleasant and attentive, who took the order at the table. The hot drinks and food came very expeditiously. The lattes were very nice, and I ordered the eggs Benedict- the poached egg was perfectly cooked with set whites and a runny yolk, the dish would've been better if the hollandaise sauce was warmer as it was on the cold side, but overall the dish was very good. The house breakfast was a good portion of food for the price, tasted fresh and most importantly crispy bacon! The atmosphere was warm and calming. Definitely recommend, and I...
