COSTA inside the NEXT SHOP in Oldbury Manager Dan was very rude and unprofessional. My husband took with him a pair of suite from next shop and sat in Costa with me to eat. Reason behind is this is the last size for him so he want to keep and pay after eating which the Next counter staff allowed . I already ordered and the coffee will get cold if he will queue to pay first. He hang the suite on the rail beside him. Manager Dan came to our table and with a loud voice said” you’re not suppose to bring the item from Next inside Costa”. Which my husband said right away I’m sorry. Dan went to the corner and tap the reminder stand and said SEE IT SAYS HERE! Point taken but very humiliating when all customers around us can hear. He already told us so no need to point the stand. Yes we can now see and read it but obviously my husband didn’t see that sign earlier on. Or else we would not bring the item with him. It’s the way he handled the situation just to find out he’s the manager. When we called one of the staff NAME TASH we told her how we felt. She apologised and handled it well ( you would think shes the Manager). Dan butted in our conversation with Tash without even saying excuse me. The manager was trying to explain snd apologised in the end. My husband accepted the apology. In future Dan you don’t need to say things out loud specially if you’re correcting somebody.
