An absolutely awful experience. This venue was recommended to me by a work colleague. We arrived just after 12 midday for the lunch buffet today. The atmosphere was cold, though the female member of staff who greeted us seemed warm in personality. However, the food hadn't been unwrapped from its cling film covering, so the dishes looked very limited. There wasn't any Caribbean on offer, in the Italian section there was about 6 slices of two different pizzas, the Indian starters was only onion bhaji, aubergine fritters and onion rings and not much to offer in the Chinese section. My partner and I started with chicken wings, which was cold. My partner ate a small portion of rice and lamb rogan josh, which was cold. I tried to be more upbeat about the experience and followed my starter with a variety of indian curries (veg, dhaal, chicken, paneer) which appeared to be steaming hot, but it was cold to the touch. Unfortunately, i had to wait for the freshly baked tandoori naans, which were poked about that much in the oven, they came out burnt and torn in shreds. By which time, my heart sank and I didn't have the gall to ask for a fresh batch. My main was also cold and we decided it wasn't worth waiting for dessert. We'd had enough and walked out, but not before I told the Manageress how disappointed I was with my experience. She replied i should've said something at the time and not afterwards as they could have prepared fresh and we could come back again for more food. It has to be one of the worse dining experiences I've ever had. We shan't be returning again. Considering the lunch time buffet is 12.00pm - 2.00pm, the staff were ill-prepared and could do with more training in cooking and developing better culinary skills, customer services and hospitality. I cannot recommend this at all. The one star is just so I can post this review. Otherwise it'll be a zero rating.

I recently visited Redleaf Global Buffet, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised despite some of the negative reviews I had seen beforehand. It’s easy to see why this place gets mixed opinions, but in my experience, a lot of the criticisms are simply not justified. First off, the variety of food here is impressive. From Asian dishes to Mediterranean favorites and classic British comfort food, there’s something for everyone. The quality was well above what I expected for a buffet—fresh ingredients, well-seasoned dishes, and everything replenished quickly. The live cooking stations were a highlight, allowing us to enjoy freshly made stir-fries and grilled meats just the way we wanted them. I noticed some reviews complaining about the service, but honestly, the staff were attentive and friendly during my visit. Plates were cleared efficiently, and we never felt rushed. As for the atmosphere, it was lively but not chaotic, which is expected for a buffet restaurant that attracts families and groups. One common complaint I read was about food temperature, but every dish I tried was hot and well-maintained. Of course, like any buffet, if you pick something that’s been sitting for a while, it might not be piping hot—but that’s just how buffets work! Overall, I think Redleaf Global Buffet is unfairly criticized in some reviews. If you go in expecting a fine-dining experience, you might be disappointed, but if you’re looking for a well-stocked, diverse buffet with good service, it’s a great choice. I’d definitely return and recommend it to others looking for an all-you-can-eat experience with a bit of everything!

I had an absolutely awful experience at Red Leaf Buffet, and I feel compelled to warn others. I was served food that had visible mold on it, which is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about their food safety standards. When I pointed this out to the staff, instead of apologizing or showing any concern, they immediately threw the moldy tomato in the bin. If we hadn’t taken a photo beforehand, they probably would have tried to deny it ever happened. What made the situation even worse was their complete lack of professionalism in handling the issue. They did not offer any sort of refund, replacement, or even a sincere apology. It was as if they didn’t care at all that they had served something that could potentially make a customer sick. Given how they handled the situation, I can’t help but wonder what else might be going on behind the scenes in their kitchen. A restaurant that disregards basic food safety and treats customer complaints with such indifference is not a place I can trust. I will never be coming back, and I strongly advise others to think twice before eating here. If they are willing to serve moldy food and then dismiss valid concerns, who knows what other standards they are neglecting? Don’t go to this business, it should be closed down and held under further review. The hygiene rating of 3 is clearly a lie, it should be a big fat 0, it doesn’t even deserve a hygiene rating.

I was invited here for a birthday meal and the table staff were disgusting. From the mi ute we walked in it was about money not customer service. The waitress kept coming over every minute taking stuff off the table looking at us and asking if the kids were adults they class adults from 4 to 9 never in my life but then the waiter said OK I charge kids prices. Then they kept looking over walking past and staring he said are you not eating. I said no I can't eat out. I'm on meal plans for health reasons and cannot eat hear as you can see the food does not match my diet. I started to eat my meal plan discreetly to notice the waiter and waitress were watching our table finding a reason to I terrupt kids eating celebrating birthday the entire time. disgusting. They did not approach anyone elses table the entire visit but waitress came over pretended to clear the table after I already cleared it and gave plates to kitchen staff for her to go over to the waiter and him to come and say the manager will see. I said please don't lie to me on entrance I asked for the manager and you said he was not hear so if its you that has the problem with me eating my own food discreetly then be honest about it. He said OK can you put it away. The whole time iv been here he and the waitress have been unwelcoming lack customer service and manners have lied to us and we will most certainly not be coming back as my friend who invited me said this was the same thing that happened 2 weeks ago again they approached no other table and now I have said my piece they come to clear the table. I simply said can you leave that until we're gone because we are leaving early because of your lack of customer service and blatant discrimination. They really sent over another waitress to clear our table mid pudding as well as mid dinner 0 customer service manners. I'm used to 4 & 5 start resturants and never felt thus unwelcome. Only positive a kitchen staff member is familiar to me from another place I eat and he was polite as always but I would not recommend this place to any...

I went there with my 2children 11 and 6 onSaturday 11.8.18 for my mates daughter 14th birthday there was 7of us in total 2adults and 5kids. We waited 11minutes for water I had half a plate of food which was chow mein spring rolls x2 and few sweet sour balls. Now I suffer from anaphylactic shock so I carry Epi pens everywhere and only eat places I know I'll be ok which red leaf had always caused me no issues.. I started hivving an swelling we asked for a first aider NO ONE WAS THERE no one returned to help me or nothing the epi pen which is adrenaline didn't help they an the members of public could physically see i was distressed an couldn't breathe I needed air an space as it was so busy I went an sat in the entrance. All of the children was crying and scared as this is a dangerous condition. But I was asked to sit outside not in the foyer not 1 member of staff assisted with any help at all! The ambulance crew came at this point I was floppy in and out of conciounus I had a pipe in my throat to assist my breathing the ambulance crew told the manager to shutdown an not to let anyone in or out while they was dealing with my condition as this was life threatening an my airway was compromised the manager still continued to allow people in and out ecen after the ambulance crew had told him arleast 4 times which I would say is a joke. I was in the foyer a good 15mins as they was trying thier best to help my condition. I was then taken to the hospital. My children was left with my friend an her children. The manager charged my friend who was quite upset and with my children and her own full price, not that we was looking for a discount etc at all however I was in there a maximum of 20minutes and half a plate of food. She said the manager was very rude an not helpful in the slightest. I would never recommend this place or ever attend again. The manager is a complete idiot an so rude also the staff are useless an no first aider on site...
