Excited to finally experience Taco Bell, I eagerly awaited the opening of a nearby location. Opting for Day 3 due to the bustling crowds on the opening night, I splurged over £30 on an array of items, including 2 naked chicken tacos, bacon and cheese quesadillas, cheese and jalapeno quesadillas, a volcano burrito and a crispy chicken burrito. Despite the anticipation, the reality fell short when it took over 30 minutes to receive my order, challenging the notion of "fast food.". Upon reaching home, I discovered a missing volcano burrito. A return trip to the restaurant revealed a responsive manager who promptly provided a replacement, demonstrating good customer service. Got back home and it was time to try the food. The naked chicken tacos stood out as exceptional, boasting delectable spicy sauce and perfectly cooked chicken – a definite repeat order. The burritos, while satisfying, left a preference for the volcano over the chicken. However, the quesadillas disappointed. The bacon and cheese version lacked proper slicing, indicating a rushed preparation, while the cheese and jalapeno failed to meet expectations with unmelted cheese and cold jalapenos – a letdown in quality. Acknowledging the early stages of the restaurant, teething problems were expected. However, the combination of a missing item, sluggish service, and subpar quesadillas detracted from the overall experience. The redeeming qualities lay in the excellence of the naked tacos and burritos. In a competitive fast-food landscape, Taco Bell, as the new entrant, holds promise but requires notable improvements. A rating of 3 out of 5 reflects the current state, hoping for refinement...
Read morePlaced order online for collection and realised we received some wrong items when I got home. Were given beef tacos instead of chicken tacos and missing fries. I don’t eat beef due to religious reasons so went back to the branch to complain and get the right items.
Did not receive any apology for the inconvenience and the manager just handed me a bag and said here are your chicken tacos.
Got home with my order for the second time only to realise it was wrong AGAIN. I ordered soft tacos and no sour cream. They gave crunchy tacos with sour cream.
My advice is don’t bother going here, especially if you have allergies, but if you do - check your order before you leave and don’t rely on what the wrapper says you need to actually unwrap...
Read moreTurned up here at around 11:30am on the last Friday before Christmas. Wasn't as busy as I expected, but shortly after I ordered, lots of people started coming in.
I used the touchscreens in the place rather than the app, I think this was a mistake as my wait was long and online orders were flying out. Luckily I didn't have to refer to my receipt, it had come out blank.
Inside was clean, staff were friendly enough. Loved the seasoning and flavour of the food. The tacos were a bit mid as they were mostly lettuce and difficult to eat. The burrito and the fries were lovely. Churros were quite nice too.
I would definitely visit again, but would...
