Myself and a friend came here for lunch, we walked up to the counter to order to which we were asked if we were sitting in or taking away. When we said we were sitting in we were sharply told by a woman with blond ish hair that we were supposed to stand at the door to wait to be seated (there is no sign saying this and there is also very little space at the entrance) we apologised as we weren’t to know. I felt it was slightly rude and uninviting of her to say this at the time but I told myself I had maybe just picked her up wrong. She then asked a server to seat us who was very nice and then another woman with glasses took our orders - again very friendly. I felt the woman mentioned at the start really did put a dampener on the experience, we also noticed she was quite off hand with other customers going up to pay for their food (slightly ironical that you need to go up to pay when we were told off for approaching the counter earlier) and also other members of staff. This woman also asked every customer if they wished to leave a tip when paying card, I felt this was slightly awkward and again made me feel uncomfortable as it puts the customer in a position where they feel they have to - as someone who has worked in customer service, its just not something I would do had it been me serving. The food was fantastic absolutely no complaints there, it’s just a shame about the service from this one individual as everyone...

Very poor customer service. Planned to try for a while. Went today with a friend we both had prams. The customer service from the sever was very unwelcoming or remotely helpful. Seemed unsure where to sit us, said 'I don't know what you want to do', 'looked at dirty table for ages and then came up with the idea she could wipe it for us'. Eventually we just said we would go elsewhere as she wanted us to leave prams outside on wet day!! I wouldn't be bothered complaining had she not shouted to her colleagues across the counter 'If that turns into a complaint, I tried to accommodate them'- before we even left the shop. Very unprofessional and unwelcoming won't be recommend or revisiting!

Had the server said 'I am sorry I am afraid we are busy today and we don't have space to accommodate you with the prams' that would have been absolutely understandable. Basic customer service.

I like to support local but cafe nero across the street was...

Thursday 5/3/24 One of my friends, Genene chose to have lunch in this cafe today, which is reasonably priced & quite a number of folks were soon filling up the cafe.

She recommends the Aussie breakfast & paid extra for the add on large onions 🍄🍄🍄

I just opted for their quite thick ministrone soup & all the vegetables in it weren't hard & I appreciated that, it may taste a bit too strong for some but it was alright for me & it was delivered quite hot which was good & i didn't need to return it to get heated up, which happens in a few eateries.

I also had a cheese 🧀 & onion 🧅 toastie as well & chose brown bread. The well toasted (non burnt) 👍 bread wasn't thin but quite thick & that fairly filled me up.

The instant coffee was strong & i couldn't believe it 'cos it was tasteless & i'm sure it wasn't Nescafé - better using Aldi Alcafé Gold Roast - I find that's the nearest tasting to Nescafé. "I...

Stopped in Falkirk to visit the Kelpies on our way north and decided to pop in here for a spot of lunch. Both the service and food were first rate. The menu claimed that most dishes could be prepared gluten free! I ordered the celiac (gluten free) Coo Club. It was one of the best sandwiches I have had in a long time. The gherkins were sweet, which was unexpected, but it worked. My daughter enjoyed her Mac and cheeseburger. The server was very patient explaining food items to us as overseas visitors. The staff behind the desk was extremely friendly and made wonderful suggestions of places to visit. Work popping in of you’re in the neighborhood.

My daughter and I are regularly here for breakfast/ lunch as well as at the sister cafe, Fork and Mustard. As a vegetarian, both venues are fantastic for offering basically everything on their menu, with meat alternative and it's dead easy. The food is top notch and service is prompt. Both venues are small, and it can be tricky getting a table at busy times. Breakfast for me and my 1 year old comes to under a tenner. Recommendations: Breakfast - 'Something different' Lunch - Literally any of the burgers
