Back here again Friday afternoon 12/10/2018...1.00pm it was mobbed and we had to wait on a table , although was not to long a wait approx 15mins but well worth the wait...chicken pakora for starters and it was delicious freshly made batter light and crispy and chicken so moist not like the orange stuff that so many serve..chicken kebabs were again fantastic... Never been here for years, came last week with my niece could not believe how good the meal was really tasty. SO ! back again this week with my mum and a good friend of ours. For starter i had Chicken Kebabs, aw they were amazing shaped into 2 round patties, small side salad and dipping sauce, then had a favourite of mine Byriani, chicken last week delicious , and had to try the lamb this week, aw the lamb just so melts in your mouth also had a garlic nan to share...... Finished off with a lovely coffee, oh and and a Chocolate orange on the side........ Amazing starter, main meal and coffee for £6.50 . There are 4 choices of 3 course lunch menu's to choose from, ranging from £6 - £10 . Good atmosphere, lovely decor, friendly polite staff and toilets spotless.... Back again delicious tast meal , :-)))

Asked umpteen times for a can of ginger beer & all I got was this narrow glass of ginger beer. Went in again on Saturday 10/2/24 at around 7am. It was very busy & very noisy. We ordered our meal & both of our starter plates came one hot & one cold & mine sat there cooling down for a short time before the mushroom 🍄 pakora came. We ordered the mixed pakora, but they hadn't any so we just had the mushroom ones & with only one dip - some Indian restaurants will provide 2 or 3 dips. Our mushrooms were very good & so was the crispy batter on them. Then came the plates for our main course & once again one hot🔥plate & one warm plate 🍽️ & if you've read my reviews, u will know I like my food on a hot plate. My chicken boona came in it's metal dish but wasn't sizzling hot & Janie's tika chicken jelfrezi came the same way. Now the Indian Cottage on Dumbarton rd in STIRLING served up their food SIZLING hot 🔥 & tasted more spicy & their chicken was more tender, & their mango lassi was in a tall glass & nice & thick BUT the Sanam mango lassi was in a small glass, not thick at all & a bit restless & a bit expensive too at £3.95.

Update Oct 2022: We were really excited to visit the Sanam after their refurb. Gorgeous as always. Inside is really beautiful. Great banter from the staff and the food is amazing. Still recommend the lamb chilli garlic. I have only one tiny suggestion and that's to provide bottles/jugs of water. Little glasses are super but could be doing with top ups more easily available. Looking forward to the next time. Aug 2020:We've been living overseas and have been talking about coming home for a Sanam. It didn't disappoint. Table of 5. Absolutely best service of any restaurant I've been in recently. Excellent tasty food. Highly recommend the Lamb Chilli Garlic and classic Chicken Tikka masala. Our table we're all impressed! Thank you xx

Went one night after had been done up I had been not well prior to it and didn’t have much taste and thought I enjoyed it, my partner didn’t enjoy it and neither did my daughter!

Thought I would try again went with my daughter and her friend. Service was so slow we made our order and people’s stuff was coming out before ours! I ordered two things that never came out and I had to say to waitress to take off our bill as it was not mentioned! The girls food came on one of the girls said eew what’s that, it’s was a big raw pink bit of chicken!! My food hadn’t came yet and I ordered chicken korma and obviously I didn’t want to eat the chicken either! Total put off was disgusting I mentioned the raw chicken and that too and never said much at all the waiter looked at me like I had hours coming out my head..

Will never be back and would not recommend to anyone unless they looking to end up not well or even worse!

Thought they would have dealt with it...
