Annapurna Gurkha's Restaurant — Restaurant in Scotland

Having discovered Anna Purna two years ago, it is now a weekly "take away" staple in our household - I do apologise that it's taken so long to leave a review!. I cannot put into words how utterly amazing the food is, being a Veggie I've always struggled with what to get when ordering a curry, but discovering AP's "Paneer Khursani Masala" I simply cannot order a curry from anywhere else, noone does a dish like it.. it is utterly amazing, slightly spicy, slightly creamy. I have even turned non-veggies onto this dish & even they say they wouldn't look back and order a chicken dish now!! You can tell the food is homemade, always arrives hot and fresh. Another must is the Garlic Naan.. I'm sure it comes with a disclaimer online due to the amount of Garlic used, which always gives me a good chuckle?! Unfortunately it doesn't last long enough to take a picture to show you all, but please trust me this is 10/10!!! Had friends round who (as part of their order) got Peshwari Naan (never usually order this online due to the fear it has raisins in it, this one didn't!!!) and spicy onions.. which were also amazing! We've never had a bad experience here, and everyone who's tried it though our recommendation hasn't had a bad dish either!! Please please please if you're looking for a good curry try Annapurna...

Went to Annapurna for a meal with my mum last week, having heard some really great things about it. We both love Indian food but hadn't tried Gurkha/Nepalese before, so were looking forward to it and it definitely didn't disappoint!

We were seated and attended to quickly, with the staff being very friendly. It was quite busy for a Wednesday evening and the staff's friendliness definitely helped with the atmosphere. It feels very homey and welcoming.

I ordered the Gurkhali lamb which was so delicious. It was my first time ordering a Gurkha curry and I was so glad I did. It had a lovely heat to it but not overwhelming enough to not let you enjoy the spice. My mum ordered the Chicken Makhani which she really enjoyed too. A lovely slight spice but still deliciously creamy. The rice was perfect and the garlic naan we ordered was fantastic too. Not a single thing I'd change.

To top it all off it's also extremely reasonably priced, including drinks. This will absolutely become a regular of mine, already thinking of my next meal. A huge kudos to the wait staff and chefs for providing such great service and food. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who enjoys a...

Popped in last minute for an evening meal, poppadums and dips to start were extremely tasty and set you up well, starters again were very very good however when it came to the main it went downhill from there. I ordered the lamb and the chicken for the Mrs as she does not eat lamb , what arrived was 2 lamb dishes which we clearly didn't order. We pointed it out and she offered to make us the right dish but we said its OK just don't charge us for the chicken dish and to take the lamb dish away. We were offered a bottle of Gurka beer at the end on the house for the mix up which when the bill arrived was to butter us up clearly. They still tried to charge us for the chicken dish , which was on the receipt !! I had to ask them to remove the chicken dish from the bill and she then turned very sour and rather rude , we had the revised bill paid and left quickly . Such a shame as it is a great little restaurant but didn't listen to us, and In turn the chef messed up the order which was too late...
