Manager at front desk blatantly refused our request to switch tables (even before we sat down). There was 8 of us and there was an 8seater in a nicer location away from the rude people who had their kids both of their kids devices on volume 10. Another family of 8 arrived 15 mins later and they took the table that we requested. Great customer service !
Portions are tiny and not that great. We had 3 courses and we all went for a carry out on the way back to our hotel.
Waiter accidently dropped dished next to our table 3 times. Yes 3. Only a wee bit of tomato sauce splatters on our clothing so not the end of the world. No compensation mentioned but none asked for.
1 of our entree's was room temp. The rest were hot but not the greatest in size or quality.
Overpriced food. £13 for 2 scallops is just out of order. £5.50 for 2 small bottles of still water. We also noticed that we were there during October holidays and the prices on the printed menus was far higher than the advertised online prices. This method of selling is quite often referred to as Extortion.
Over all not a good experience.
Manager needs to go to obedience school.
Some advice... Don't go here if you are hungry. Bring a chainsaw for the meat.

Read morePoor experience from start to finish: 1 main dish and coffee/ice cream after (for only 4 people out of 14) took from 1915 to 2135. Service was a mess - wrong food brought out to wrong people, with wrong extras on the wrong plates. Meals didn’t match what was on the menu (“courgette” dish was actually aubergine). Staff didn’t know which drinks were available, which foods had allergens and what was or wasn’t available. Portions are small for the high cost. Burger (£20) was brought out dry and on a dirty plate. Coffees arrived after over half an hour and were poorly made, not on saucers and were cold - and there were no spoons or sugar. Desserts were brought with no cutlery to eat them with. We refused to pay for them.
Additionally, two servers were going table to table asking if people wanted the dishes they’d brought out - but no table had ordered them. Sadly this wasn’t just our experience, we could hear other guests complaining about the food and service when leaving.

Read moreI have been lucky enough to have visited the highlands and Aviemore for over 30 years, and in that time I have experienced many amazing places of course. Restaurants, bars, cafes, shops, castles and hotels, and I can say that the Sunday roast sharing board here is exquisite. The beef slices were so perfectly cooked and tender, and matched perfectly with a Pino Noir, from the South of France. The pork was so delicious and was perfectly matched with the Italian pino Grigio from Abruzzo. There was also a fine breast of chicken which was soft and buttery, and selection of potatoes and vegetables which accompanied everything very well.
The whole experience is extremely reasonable with the wines and atmosphere. To be specific the food was around £17 per head, without starters we thought was excellent value. Especially as so much is so expensive these days in the U.K. highly recommend this place for a...
