I’ve been ordering from this restaurant regularly pretty often. It's always the same dish, at least once (or sometimes even two times) every week, for the past two months, and I have to say the food is consistently tasty, fresh, and really well-made. I genuinely enjoy the meals and appreciate the quality when I order at full price.

However, I’ve noticed a disappointing pattern that I can’t ignore anymore. On three separate occasions, when I used a discount code (typically for 15% off), the portion of meat in the dish was noticeably smaller. The first time, I thought it might just be a one-off, but after seeing the same thing happen again, it felt less like a coincidence and more like a deliberate cutback when a discount is applied.

It’s frustrating as a loyal customer to feel like you’re being penalized for using a promotion the restaurant itself provides. I still really like the food, but I believe consistency should be maintained regardless of whether someone uses a discount or pays full price. Please either give me the same portion when I apply the discount or don't send me your 15% off promotions if it comes with less portions...

Myself and my family travelled 40 miles each way to visit the restaurant, following a Tik Tok video. The hummus and flat bread were delicately seasoned and the bread warm to the touch. I had the mixed grill - chicken and lamb, both of which were freshly prepared and cooked to order. The rice and salad with the mixed grill were spot on - I’d go so far as to say the rice some of the best I’ve tasted with this type of meal. My wife and son had the shawarma and falafel wraps, which again hit the mark on freshness and taste. I also tried the Lebanese coffee (similar to Greek or Cuban coffee, where it’s boiled in a small metal pot with the grounds mixed in) super strong but sooo tasty, almost like the consistency of a rich hot chocolate. The long round trip was worth it and we will be back again, very soon. The most surprising part was the cost - shared starer, 5 drink and 3 main meals all for under £50. Superb value for the quality of the food and service. Great, polite and professional - so glad to have found this wee hidden...

Honestly, this place has quickly become my favorite spot for Lebanese and Mediterranean food in Glasgow. I only just moved to the city for work and have been trying out different restaurants, but I was so happy to stumble upon this little gem. The food is delicious, everything tastes fresh and full of flavour, and you can really tell it’s made with care. Each dish has that authentic taste that makes you feel like you’re eating at a family-owned restaurant abroad.

The vibe of the place is also great. The staff are really welcoming and friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and comfortable. You can tell they genuinely care about giving you a good experience. It’s not just the food that’s great, but the whole feeling of being there. It’s a place that makes you want to come back. All of this for a very good price. Honestly a great restaurant.

I’ll definitely be returning soon! Highly...

Went here with the wife, first impressions.. a nice and cozy little restaurant, fairly busy on a Friday evening due to takeaways which meant service was a tad slow! Tea was lovely as was the fresh orange, the main event.. yeah we enjoyed the mixed grill, all meats were tasty as was the rice and salad! What i would say is that the food was worth the money but there needs to be more of it as the lamb pieces were a tad on the small side and it could do with the addition of lamb shawarma! i had to fill myself up with chips to feel like i had something substantial to eat and thats just a waste of tummy space imo lol! Would i go back, i would certinly go back and see what other food thay had on offer 👍👌😁

I was finally able to visit Beirut Star which has been on my list of Middle Eastern restaurants to try in Glasgow. As a Lebanese, I really highly recommend this place if you’re looking to have authentic Lebanese food. The service was great, typical Lebanese service, which offered “Batata Harra” (spicy potatoes) on the house. The fattoush was fresh and delicious, the falafel were crunchy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside, just as it should be. The hummus shawarma, stuffed vine leaves and deep fried Kibbeh were really good as well. Overall, it was a great experience and I loved having delicious Lebanese food!!
