Blacks Roll Shop — Restaurant in Scotland

Well i went in today at 1pm looking or a hot roll or a wee toastie, only to be told by the staff that at 1pm they are only serving cold rolls, now what i don’t understand is the shop closing time stated 2pm, there were 2 other people in the shop and they were waiting on toasties so i asked how i was unable to also order a toastie, but apparently i missed the cut off time for hot food by “just a wee second”..
