I was visiting family in the area and had dinner here on a Saturday evening, which was my birthday, with my daughter and her partner. What a lovely evening with amazing food and super service. The restaurant is not huge, but is beautifully set out and decorated and has a lovely ambiance. We were greeted warmly by Marco, the owner, taken to our table and asked if we were happy with the table before being seated. Staff were attentive and helpful throughout, knowledgeable about the dishes, and the service could not be faulted. The menu is varied with lots of lovely choices, obviously Italian themed. I had the gamberoni with garlic, white wine and lemon sauce, followed by Pollo Sorrento which was a tender chicken breast served in a docelatte and white wine sauce, garnished with parma ham and served with sauteed potatoes and a side salad. My daughter had a caprese salad to start followed by a selection of the starter dishes for main. All the food was beautifully presented and delicious. The chicken in particular was very tender and the sauce was delicious. The restaurant brought me a beautiful birthday cake for dessert, which was lovely, but unexpected, and all in all it was a wonderful evening. I highly recommend this lovely, family run restaurant, for its service and warm welcome, choice of dishes, ambience and, of course, delicious food. Thank you so much to Marco and his team - I can't wait to return next time I am...
Read moreTonight, we dined at Ciao Roma in Aberdeen, and it was an absolute delight! As lovers of Italian cuisine, we were thrilled by the quality of the food, which was nothing short of amazing!
We ordered the Penne Funghi Crema and the Tortelloni al Funghi Crema, and both dishes were incredible. The creamy mushroom sauces were rich, flavourful, and perfectly balanced, complementing the pasta beautifully. The penne was cooked to perfection, maintaining that ideal al dente texture, and the tortelloni were tender, with a deliciously indulgent filling.
It’s safe to say that this was some of the best Italian food in Aberdeen and the shire. The flavours were authentic, and the attention to detail was evident in every bite. The restaurant's cosy atmosphere and warm service added to the experience, making it a memorable evening.
We’ll definitely be returning to Ciao Roma and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic Italian dining experience and well worth travelling out to Westhill if you live in the city. A...
Read moreA hidden gem with a cosy, welcoming atmosphere and beautifully presented Italian dishes, full of flavour. The gentleman who served us was very polite, thoughtful and attentive. He offered a smaller pizza straightaway for the little one, even though there wasn’t a separate kids’ menu, and the portion was just right. He took the same care and attention with the older one too. The service was well timed, and we felt well looked after from start to finish. A lovely place for families or anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine in a warm, friendly setting. Highly...
