I am a busy travelling man. Last night, I was driving incredibly fast when I suddenly heard a loud growl emerging from my stomach. At first I presumed it was my car (Fiat Picanto) which has an incredible engine. However, as the ghost of hunger further made her way through my body, I came to a realisation that I needed to eat immediately. I slammed on the brakes and to my surprise found myself right outside this baking establishment.

As I entered the building I squealed loudly with delight at what I saw! A long lengthy menu! Many staff tirelessly baking away through the night! Many rows of pies! And a long line of presumably intoxicated people who were swaying softly like a wheat field in the wind! (I was born in a wheat field so such a sight brought a tear to my eye).

In my giddy delight, I made what I thought was a sensible order - a chicken pie with red sauce. Not too small not too big and served hot! My mouth was twitching with delight at the thought of sinking my teeth into such a delicious baked good. My eyes were watering (I was actually sobbing) in anticipation.

Finally my pie was ready - with a nod to all involved I made my way back into the car (fiat picanto). Imagine my surprise when, on biting into the pie, a quacking noise came from the fore mentioned pastry. Confused, I wondered if I was perhaps sleep deprived. I raised the pie again to my lips and before I could take a bite the quacking noise happened again.

Suddenly, in a flurry of feathers, a large goose flew out of the pie! In a struggle with the goose, I was thrown out of the car and into the car park. The goose was caught on the seatbelt and flapping around with extreme gusto. Suddenly the car began to lift , and to my horror, I realised that I would lose my beloved Picanto.

Not keen to let a goose have the last laugh, I grabbed onto the wheels of the car and suddenly was lifted high into the sky. The goose took us all across Dundee and, if I hadn’t been so irritated at the goose I would of thanked it for providing such a scenic nighttime view of the beloved city.

Suddenly, I remembered my wives words of wisdom and realised I unfortunately had accidentally become involved in a ‘wild goose chase’. Realising my error, I immediately let go of the car, falling at extreme speed into the Dundee Lidl carpark. The pie landing next to me still in its box.

Although a little shocked and confused I managed to take out my phone and get the photograph attached to my review - pointing to the spot where I believe the goose came out.

Overall -...

This would be a 5 out of 5 or even a 10 out of 10 as its been brilliant for when we've been working nights. Food is top quality and a good price. Open 24 7 it is brilliant. I've opted for the all day breakfasts before and after work no issues lovely tasting. This morning however I don't know what went wrong but clearly the cook was having a bad morning. Burnt link sausages and apparently that's scrambled egg (instead of fried egg) which I got fried egg too for some reason. Scrambled egg looked like it's been regurgitated. 4 stars because of this unedible breakfast The pies are amazing and the sweet treats are delicious too. All in house baked.

On the first day, God made the earth, on the second day, God made the animals, on the third day God made us, but more importantly this is where clarks was birthed. I am being 100% serious when I say there is nothing I love more on Gods green earth than this scotch pie. Im out the tunnel, I saw the light, I ate the pie. Very generous meal deals with a loverly devon slice that tastes just like your holidays!! If you're in Dundee, clarks is simply a must, and I can assure you all I will be back.
