10 Cafe Bar — Restaurant in Scotland

Change of plans at the last minute found us heading to the bar for a bit of R&R after a long working week. I was pleasantly greeted by a young man behind the bar who was very pleasant. We had not been in for years and enjoyed the modern decor inside. I ordered a drink and explained my wife was on her way shortly and was offered to open a tab which was very convenient. To my surprise I was offered an option to try a free pie of choice from a great range and was surprised that not only was it free but was warm as well. This went amazing with my pint of Guinness which I have to say went down great. I ordered a bag of crisps and a packet of nuts and enquired if it would be possible to sit at the table that was reserved from 7pm as it was only 5;30. There was no issue and took my place on a very comfy sofa. My wife ordered a wine as she arrived and was also surprised with the offer of a pie and ice and grapes in her wine?( never seen this before but worked well). Cheeky as I am and one of the biggest pie fans, I cheekily asked if it was just one pie per customer per drink but again was very pleasantly surprised to be told definitely not and the gentleman seemed almost pleased I was wanting to sample more of this fine fair and even gave me some info on the local supplier. There is a varied range of drinks on offer and a great decor inside and the service is as amazing. Even the shift change staff arrived with a smile and seemed happy to be working. Overall a new found place for us in Forfar with great service and so far great items. We will be back soon to try what else this little gem in town has to offer. Great evening at this bar on Sunday, for some live music up the stairs. Billy Liar and friends entertained the crowd upstairs while friendly staff served us. The sound was great, the atmosphere was cracking. What a great little bar. Really friendly staff, with a special shout out to Bethany who is super friendly, professional and very attentive....strawberries in rose wine, lovely extra touch. Great atmosphere, really well thought out decor and great touches everywhere. Definitely a cut above other bars in Forfar. I would not hesitate in recommending Bar 10 to anyone visiting Forfar.
