If I could review this in minus i would. Went for Christmas dinner paid over the odds which is fine as it’s Christmas. I complained to the manager and so did a few of us which rightly so! Our full order was coming out wrong adults getting kids meals half a potato for an adult cut in two . Burnt yorkies no stuffing as advertised burnt pigs in blankets. A snow man ice cream consisted of five kids being given a bowl of whipped cream and a marshmallow . Two sundaes for kids one with some ice cream the other filled purely of whipped cream in a pint glass talk about making it a bit nicer for christmas. A lot of food left purely through the standard was to be burnt waited at the bar for nearly ten mins just to get a fork which had to be cleaned . Drinks took ages only soft drinks . The cheesecake tasted sour. When first booked was not made aware of any payment other than deposit to be paid which was paid received a message asking for rest made Emma aware she hadn’t gave me a date to pay however she was nothing but rude ! I had all messages clearly stated final balance December we paid deposit and honestly I see why they need money up front because not a single person would have paid that ! She demanded that if it wasn’t paid within that day or next she was cancelling it now given someone a days notice for 400 and people work can’t just jump however we paid it although as she was so rude to me I should cancelled then. Complained and the manager seen the food and said she understood and didn’t know what was happening! I requested the owner Emma contact me which off coarse she didn’t until I sent her a second message saying I was taken it further to what she sent a rude and utter lying text message to me ! Accuse my family of behaving inappropriately never the case yes we complained and rightly so! Stated we changed the order no your staff just didn’t have the order and since she banged on about all her cctv and how she was aware of our behaviour apparently at the time one she would see my self passing my phone up to the top of the table to pass on the order which came from the text to Emma with the order no changes she also lied and said allergy no onetold any member of staff there was allergies as they aren’t any and also while a table of 14 was that bad are the two owners Emma and her partner not going to come out and manage that !!! I think you would of that was true but it wasn’t no one done a thing wrong except you Emma! And allow that food to leave the kitchen and ask for £55 a head for that. The menus was not as stated ! And the food wasn’t edible ! We paid a lot of money £500+ weren’t offered any sort of apology and Infact the owner claimed the food was acceptable. Refused to speak to me at the venue when I asked for her . I asked to speak to a manager and the bar girl never even passed it on . Shambles of a dinner. It’s more laughable that Emma said we were the problem we wouldn’t have complained if the food was even consistent no two meals the same . Even the mashed claimed the went above and beyond and changed things absolutely not I asked for my neurodiverse child meal to have only turkey carrots and mash . She got micro mash so for the sake of two mins in a micro hardly above and beyond . Two kinds meals requested without stuff not an issue at all but yet no one had any stuffing when asked got a bowl of cold stuffing hand out. Asked for a kids dessert for my 15 year old but still paid an adult for him . Asked if by any chance all the dinner could have a Yorkshire and I would pay extra she said that was fine that didn’t happen either. But this is her going above and beyond .. and to make it that last bit they knew we had a baby yet we were squeezing in to a middle table leaving zero space for pram so he had to sit on a car seat in the floor yet we were the problem ! Never again step foot in there. Which is annoying as being before for nights out ect ! Abso joke but reached out to the owner and she feels it’s ok ! Read moreBooked function hire for my brothers leaving party.. went in and paid £100 deposit and was told if we decided to take finger buffet they’d be able to do it for around the £140 mark.. so I followed that up and asked for a final price for them to do buffet and was told £400 for 50 people🤣 responded that I’d do it myself (as I had officially stated when booking) then received a text message 5 days prior to the function date to say that our function was cancelled due to it being a “busy day of the month” for them and because I’ve decided not to take the buffet (which I wasn’t meant to be taking in the first place) it wasn’t feasible for them. May also add that I was contacted by the lady who dealt with the booking to let me know the owner asked if she could do my balloons, so that leads me to believe the owner was aware the function was booked in for their “busiest day” and didn’t seem to be an issue then? (I declined this offer due to having balloons already arranged) Speculation aside, this “business” was fine with leaving without a venue 5 days before our party which is very disappointing and inconsiderate. Clearly the staff are not well trained and have severe lack of communication. A business with any sort of integrity would recognise the mistake on their part and honour the booking. Not a good look for a business at all..

I did not initially state I wanted a buffet Infact when I first messaged to enquire I stated it would just be function hire and dj I require.. it was your mother in law? I believe.. who offered a buffet as an option “if we change our mind” when I messaged again to enquire about the buffet that’s all it was.. an enquiry. You did not once specify that a catering or bar spend would be required on top of the £250 total.. however of course we were planning on spending at the bar? Is that not standard with most functions, no? Your stating that I “requested” the entire venue to be booked out with no food drink or bar spend.. not once did anyone ask me about drink or bar spend and you offer “function hire” that usually means your willing to hire out your space for a function? To say this was “clearly communicated” is hilarious and a sad attempt to save face. There was no sense of communication between you and your mother in law/“staff” never mind myself🤣 “five days in advance” is diabolical.. 5 days before a party to be left with no venue is chaos. Yous were not at all transparent, your “staff” needs training. Your coming back to me with lies to try and spin this around but the facts are that yous did not communicate well at all, you have “staff” accepting bookings without clearly knowing what’s acceptable to you as an owner and clearly not making them aware of key points to let people know when booking. Maybe just stick to pullin your pints and based off other reviews serving below average food.. as the events industry clearly isn’t for everyone! Well where do i start 🤔 Enchiladas where terrible basically a wrap with the very least amount of cheese on top filled with cheap cubed frozen chicken cooked in a very poor quality Enchilada (very very acidic )sauce with uncooked peppers and chicken was overcooked ! My chips where really undercooked and solid in middle ! And if 2 slices of red onion 1 piece of lettuce and 1 very small slither of tomatoe is a salad ? You should take it off the menu !My partners steak pie was OK but the over boiled mushy veg and the plastic microwaved mash was a disgrace ! Needles to say i wont be returning here had to go for a mcdonalds afterwards as i left most of my food...
