I recently had the pleasure of dining at what I can confidently say is the best fish and chips I've ever tried. The moment I took my first bite, I was blown away by the freshness and flavor of the fish. It was perfectly battered, crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside, showcasing the quality of the ingredients used. The chips were equally impressive—golden, fluffy, and seasoned to perfection, making them the ideal companion to the fish. What truly sets this place apart from others, including those in London, is the attention to detail in their preparation. Each dish is crafted with care, and you can taste the difference. However, I must mention that the service could use some improvement. While the staff was friendly, there were moments of delay that detracted from the overall experience. A more attentive and efficient service would elevate this gem to an even higher level. Overall, I highly recommend this fish and chips spot for anyone looking for an authentic and delicious experience. Just be prepared for a wait during busy hours, as it's clearly a favorite among locals. I can't wait to return for another round!

It'll take me a while to get over the £18 asking price for a large fish supper in a place surrounded by the sea! The fish on offer looked tiny and mostly crispy batter so I opted for the fried pizza. It was ok but nothing special. The service however was friendly and quick which brings the score right up! Lovely staff. As for the atmosphere? Who goes to a chippy hoping to meditate and self-reflect in the tranquil ambience? 😂 The atmosphere was friendly though.

I'm only a lowly American in Shetland on a visit, but HOLY MOLY this is the GREATEST FISH & CHIPS I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. Cannot recommend more highly. The fish is so substantial and tastes amazing, and the chips are perfect. So glad I came.

Called in for my final meal on the Shetland Isles. Opted for haggis and chips with a pickled egg. Fancied sitting out in glorious sunshine. Other folk had the same idea so I ended up on the dock. That said probably my favourite of the three chippies I visited during my stay. Really good chips, the haggis did what it needed to and when I asked for a little salt and plenty of vinegar, they delivered. No photos as my mind was on the food!! You'll need cash to pay here but plenty of cashpoints only minutes away and means that the...
