Golden Chip Linlithgow — Restaurant in Scotland

The fish and chips here are fantastic and very plentiful. Their curry sauce is one of the best I've tasted in Scotland.

The only problem I have, which is very small, is that a lot of staff look permanently annoyed.

They look like the customers coming into the shop are a hindrance to their day.

The fact that on more than one occasion. I caught some of them rolling their eyes because a customer wasn't choosing quick enough, or hadn't heard them call for "next".

Now to be completely fair it isn't all of them, but it is a few, and on more than one occasion. I get it work isn't always the most exciting place to be, but at least try and make an effort.

The food thankfully saves...

Absolutely horrible experience. Went in at about 6pm was queued out the door, which is understandable as was dinner time. Ordered a half pizza crunch, was told it would take 5 mins. I waited around 40 minutes. Asked several times why it was taking so long, was met with staff shrugging shoulders, not communicating to find out if it was being cooked and continually telling me it "wont be long". Every other person was served in a timely manor. I have no idea if they forgot my order several times, or had to go out to a shop to buy my pizza while i waited. But if i hadnt already paid id av left well before 40 mins was up. Disgusting service, disgusting customer service. Will...

Having looked forward all day to either a Indian or fish and chips I thought I would try the Golden chip as it was on my way home.

After a welcome stare from the staff who seemed disinterested and looked out of place without there phones in their hands , I ordered a fish and chip supper 5 minutes along the road and to my disappointment the fish was dry tasteless and bland the chips were also bland and tasteless. Not even tomato sauce helped make them taste better. BINNED and away to order a Indian
