Grantown Diner & Takeaway — Restaurant in Scotland

Holy sht. We stopped here after a snowboarding session not too far away after realising the local chip shop was closed. At first glance, we thought the prices were quite high (are we surprised with the state of the UK though?) especially compared to the chip shop we had our hearts set on… however 1000000% was worth the couple extra £. Burger so good that I’m sad it’s gone to the point that burps will be welcomed just so I can have a lingering taste. The onion rings- my god the onion rings- if they aren’t homemade they are the closest equivalent I’ve ever tasted. In love. And to top it off a scratch card which won us money of our “next meal” which although we aren’t local, I will be travelling for. Once again all I can say is holy sht. Really good. Quick service. Good selection. Food was superb.

We had takeout but the restaurant itself looked nice and was completely spotless when we came to collect our food.

Staff were very helpful and pleasant. Service was quick.

The food itself was delicious. Between the four of us we had two different styles of nachos, a hotdog and a burger. All were perfectly cooked and the portions very generous; even the teenager, normally a bottomless pit, struggled to finish his dinner!

The chilli beef was especially good and the Full Monty burger huge. Even the usually picky younger child devoured his hotdog.

Absolutely delicious!

Stopped in here on a drive through the Cairngorms for a quick dinner. The staff were lovely, welcoming and attentive despite being run off their feet with takeaway orders.

The food was faultless. Nachos were fresh and delicious with the chicken fajita topping cooked perfectly. Lovely spicy moist chicken cooked just right. The full monty burger was great and a good sized portion. The pizza was delicious and fresh. No premade bases in sight.

Will definitely stop here again when passing...
