We were late getting into town and our BnB host made us late reservations.

It was busy and everyone seemed happy. Make reservations!

They only do pies, but they are very delicious pies and hit the spot after a long day of travel.

We had the beef(the moo) and the moo and blue.

They arrived quickly with wonderful fries(chips) Fresh and hot! I love it when the fries arrive so hot they burn your fingers. It means very very freshly made!

I ordered brown gravy. Because I love gravy. It was delicious too.

I think it was the owner/owners wife that checked on us towards the end. She was somewhat questioning the gravy decision, because it makes the chips(fries) soggy. It did not! (Maybe it would have if they were NOT fresh and hot?)

Very friendly, great service. Very reasonable price. Like 15£ a person with beer. It was a very good choice for supper.

I do recommend!

I hope to be here...

This is a gem of a find. The decor was military themed and we all enjoyed looking at the items and seeing where they were from. Dog friendly (the proprietor gives them treats) and has a children's licence so all the family can visit. It serves an amazing selection of whisky. The kids had freshly cooked chicken nuggets and we all had connoisseur pies and amazing home cooked chips. The pies were to die for. Mine was a 'moo and blue' with steak and Stilton and I was actually silent while I savoured the taste bite by bite! It doesn't take cards but there is a cash point on the high street and no hot drinks making this pub a proper pub! I can't wait to return and savour more of the treats they...

Fabulous dinner at Craig’s bar. There is something for everyone, as long as you like pies! Me, my husband and two teens dined here. We are all vegan so finding good tasty food outside of the usual vegan burger in the Cairngorms can be tricky, but Craig’s have the most delicious and best vegan pies we have tasted. We had the Mooless Moo and the Mock A Doodle. We all left our plates clean. Thanks Beryl for catering to vegans with the most delicious flavours, and Robbie for welcoming us with jokes a plenty. Dogs also welcomed...

A thoroughly enjoyable, if slightly odd evening. The pies were great, nicely cooked and tasty, the chips were a little plain but crisp, the mushy peas just mushy peas and the gravy nice and tasty but probably bisto. It may sound that it didn't think much of the food but I really enjoyed it all. The price tag, at £8.95 for pie and chips is great. To cap it off the host, and his mum were a true comedy double act, slightly fringe comedy, but funny. Give the place a go!

If you are looking for a proper meat pie and a true Scottish pub, whiskey, swearin, a friendly grumpy owner and a true small town grab a pint experience, this is the place. Bobby isn't PC but he IS a cheeky storyteller and an authentic experience. But seriously, the pie and chips are amazing! Ask him about the laughing gravy. It's a solidly good brown gravy with a cheeky original story.
