Walking into Grumpy Barista is like stepping straight into Narnia. The baristas have a certain quirky magic — a bit gruff, but dedicated to crafting the perfect coffee, and it’s as addicting as Turkish Delight. The cozy, warm ambiance feels like something incredible might happen at any moment, like finding a lamppost in the woods. Each visit feels like a new chapter in a book you want to keep rereading. You walk in with the weight of the world, and leave lighter, as if you’ve been somewhere enchanted. It’s not just a cafe; it’s an escape you’ll carry with you long after...

The grumpy barista more like the down right arrogant woman who does not know how to deal with customers or have a polite conversation i went for coffee with my partner and her assistant dog on entering the Cafe we were barked at by a woman who said its not dog Friendly we tried to explain that its illegal to refuse a ad access she told us that don't matter the place is to small as she walked away so we could not continue the conversation. After obviously being corrected by her coworker she then yelled over the counter well i suppose you...

Being Italian I'm used to very high standards when it comes to coffee and service. This coffee shop is cozy, nicely decorated and welcoming. Unfortunately we didn't have a nice experience with service. The staff served us 2 cups of 'acceptable' coffee and was more concerned of getting the money rather than first verify that we had at least a teaspoon to stir the coffee. Probably not experienced nor custom oriented enough but I'm sure there's plenty of room for improvement. Signed :The...

Best coffee in Glasgow. Friendliest Barista ever! The Espressos always taste amazing. Plant based milk available too. Would definitely recommend the chorizo mozzarella croissant and there are also plenty of cakes and vegetarian options too, something for everyone ! Great atmosphere and a cute seating area both at the front of the shop and a cosy one through the back.

One of the joys of travel for me is finding the best coffee shop in town. Welcome to the Grumpy Barista! The lattes are just right, the espresso is not overwhelmed in milk. Also, don’t be fooled by the name; I was welcomed like a neighborhood friend into the cozy space. Treat yourself friends, when in Glasgow. It’s work the walk, bus, metro or taxi!

Very friendly staff, no grumpiness anywhere. Great selection of cakes, pastries, ciabattas and paninis, also lots of drinks options. The chai latte was extremely tasty and I also had a roasted pepper, courgette and sweet chilli panini which was lovely. Very highly recommend for breakfast or lunch.
