Stopped by on my way through town because I had heard great things. I was underwhelmed to say the least. While the flavors of the espresso cake where nice, the cake itself was dry and hard in places. 😢

Edit: I based my review solely on the cake, but if you would like to know about service I can certainly expand upon that as well. I literally added a stop in Stirling on my train from Inverness to Glasgow just to try out your bakery because someone I know had been in and said I would enjoy it. I was not greeted when I walked in the door, but not the worst. I was try to wait until the last ahead of me was finished being served and out of the way so I could ask questions but was told to come up and order while she was still there eating something while waiting for her sandwich. When I said I had never been in I assumed I was just not heard and so went ahead and ordered.

As for cake that is supposed to be hard and dry... If I had turned in such a thing to my instructors I would have been lectured on not paying attention in class. If I tried to serve that at work my boss would throw it out and make me apologize to our guests for letting it come out of our kitchen. Firm cake sure, but hard...

Eclectic mix of british and middle eastern pastries, like a posh Greggs on holiday.

Popped in a quick lunch. Turkish coffee was great (watch out for the sediment at the bottom, it's a feature, not a bug!). Steak bake was very good, nice crunchy herby topping and some potato nuggets mixed in with the meat for some good heterogeneity. Ham sandwich was a bit average, and at £3.90 I'd be expecting something a little better, sourdough bread maybe.

Something I did notice is some things on the menu are not as good as others. I'd recommend revisiting things and only put them there if they're up to standard, otherwise people order them and the truly good dishes get tarred with the same brush.

The space isn't huge, so it only takes a couple of people to fill up. The window seating is nice though, watching the world walk by sipping a coffee and jamming out to christmas tunes. There are worse ways to spend one's lunch break...

Will definitely come back to try more of the sweet treats, brownie cheesecake was looking...

After drooling over the Facebook posts, I HAD to give this place a visit! In short, this place is a MUST VISIT!

A great selection of sandwiches,hot/cold rolls, grilled panini's and breakfasts. We had the hot rolls (bacon & sq sausage) and they were top-notch! Very good quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. BUT, the real shining stars here are the homemade cakes, tray bakes and baked goods. WOW. Honestly, some of the best I've tasted.

We had the Caramel & Pecan Cinnamon Swirl and the Chocolate Brownie. Both were outstanding! The Cinnamon Swirl wasn't dried out like most I've tried, this was soft and oozing with caramel. The brownie...might be one of the best I've had. Not dry and cakey, but dense and moreish with a lovely premium chocolate aftertaste. You gotta try it!

Outwith the fantastic food, the staff were really friendly and attentive; they create a really relaxed atmosphere in the place. Seating indoors and out, and very reasonably priced.

Keep up the good work! We'll...

In June my family was celebrating our daughter-in-law’s birthday on a visit to the Old Newton of Doune. I was so lucky to find Janna‘s Bakery for a surprise birthday cake. After having had a very easy communication with Janna from abroad she made the most beautiful cake for us. Janna is incredibly friendly, professional and, most of all, extremely talented. Her birthday cake was the highlight of our celebration and our daughter in law was absolutely delighted. Thank you, Janna, for helping make this day so special for all of us by baking the most delicious and beautiful cake!

Today, our family visited this wonderful place. The staff was polite, and the atmosphere was delightful. We tried a variety of baked goods, and everything was absolutely delicious. The family favorite was definitely the baklava, followed by personal preferences—some loved the Nutella cinnamon rolls, while others enjoyed the brownies. Overall, everything was incredibly tasty. Would I recommend this place to friends? Yes. Will I return here again? Absolutely.
