White Dove offers good coffee and a consistently strong range of pastries and cakes, all at average prices, which makes it an easy go-to for a casual stop or takeaway. The interior is bright and airy, which adds to the appeal, though it can feel a little messy at times, and the tables—while wiped down—never quite feel fully clean.
The staff are efficient but impersonal. That’s not necessarily a bad thing—some people will appreciate the no-fuss, get-your-order-and-go style. That said, there are a few noticeable lapses in customer service: the younger staff often skip the pleases and thank-yous, rarely say goodbye, and don’t offer sugar with takeaway coffees unless asked. Small details, but they do stand out over repeat visits.
Speaking of which, as a regular customer, I was a little surprised no one noticed or asked if I already had a coffee card. A small gesture—like offering a few catch-up stamps—would’ve been a nice touch. But maybe that kind of recognition feels too personal for the tone of this place.
All in all, White Dove gets the basics right: solid coffee, good bakes, and quick service. Just don’t come expecting warmth or small talk—unless you’re lucky enough to catch a more attentive moment.

Read moreI gave two stars because I enjoyed my first visit at the White Dove. The gentleman who served us was very kind. We decided to go back today with my family.
My family and I ordered hot chocolates during our visit, but when they were served, they were cold and far from the standard we expected. I politely mentioned this to the young waitress, who seemed completely uninterested in addressing the issue. To my surprise, she neither offered to replace the drinks nor apologized for the inconvenience in a meaningful way. To make matters worse, her demeanor was rude, and she was openly complaining about me to her colleague in a manner that was unprofessional and uncomfortable. Feeling disrespected, we decided to leave the café without drinking and finishing the hot chocolates
This experience was incredibly disappointing, as we had hoped to enjoy a pleasant time again...
Read moreNipped in for a quick coffee and wasn’t disappointed. Got a flat white with a shot of caramel and it was exactly what I asked for, delivered quickly by very friendly staff.
Didn’t get the chance to try any of the food, but as you can see from the pictures there is too much to choose from!
There is so many different pastries, canolis, baclava and random wee bits n bobs as well as there being a whole range of sandwiches and sausage rolls.
I didn’t see many different options for types of roasts however. Overall really enjoyed the coffee the atmosphere inside was quiet and relaxed while feeling warm and not too trendy.
I enjoyed it but I worry that if there is all those different choices for food, that not enough attention to detail is going into each!! Make sure the business is sustainable and don’t produce too much food waste...
