Kettle Black — Restaurant in Scotland

I was in today (13th July) and there were 5 servers standing behind the counter. 4 in a group giggling, laughing and the other girl was excluded and she looked distraught. Throughout the entire time we were there they did not speak to her. When we went to the counter we spoke directly to the girl to ask about cakes and then to pay but the others swooped in and blocked her both times. They took the initial order quickly but they did not return to take a further order for cake/coffee despite the place not being busy My experience previously has been really good but today I was disgusted by the situation behind the counter and disappointed.

*Edit in response to the owner- it is still very strange that there was a group of staff at one end of the counter and a single girl at the other. We were in for an hour and they did not speak to her. When we spoke to her she looked happy to be spoken to. Even if her English isn't great why were the other staff so far away from her? Reviewed this place a few times on another site. Search brew paisley trip adviser. Same owners apparently. Got a stained dirty cup with my tea, asked for another, and the photos was what they gave me. I mean for your own personal cup I'm sure it's fine, but what she called stains came off with my fingernail. Don't know how to wash cups and saucers?.use a scourer to get rid of encrusted sugar and tea residue. Jeez. I go to this place when I'm up on holiday, last time I got an awful breakfast, dry, shoe-leathery. This time it was back to high standards. Something weird I've noticed about this place, there's a few houseplants there, which is nice, but there is always one, and it seems to be different ones Everytime that's obviously unwatered and on the verge of death, before it was on the shelf, this time it was on the windowsill. Is there a plant psycho there that's determined to torture all the plants there one at a time?! The mystery deepens. Learn to clean the grime kettle...

So very disappointed! We have used this place a few times but NEVER again. Sunday morning breakfast, no potato scones no avocado no devil eggs and no crispy rolls. Now for those that know where this cafe is located it is across the path from Morrisons. Ordered a roll n link with brown sauce, arrived with red sauce. I returned it and the girl walked over to me roll in hand and said “that’s what your ordered” no I didn’t I do not eat red sauce! Waited 2 minutes and served a roll with cold link and brown sauce, could not eat it! 2 lattes and the spoons were disgusting, had to use the handle to stir the coffee. Charged £16.80 for 2 lattes, 2 filled rolls . Decided to return and ask for my receipt as I thought surely that could not be correct, only to be told, Oh sorry there is a take away coffee at £4 on your receipt, here is the £4.
