Edit for takeaway: recently got takeaway from here and it was incredibly underwhelming. Fries were cold and soggy, small portions, pizza needed salt. Need to up their game in a city full of excellent pizza. Back down to 3 stars…
Edit: I’ve been back here a couple of times since it opened and it’s definitely improved in that time. Service has been excellent, food is decent and you can usually get a table booked. Bumped up one star!
Well…I really wanted to love this, as I am a major Bread Meats Bread fan.
However, it feels like the food has been made to look good (on Instagram) rather than to taste good. I had the Leopardo Da Vinci and it was bland and soggy. A burrata on top of a pizza looks exotic but it’s a logistical nightmare.
The service was only ok. Heads up, if you’re ordering a draught beer, at time of writing the draught machine hasn’t arrived yet, so you will receive an open can. This in itself is fine - but you NEED to tell customers this. Both my husband and the 2 guys on tables either side were pissed that they weren’t told about lack of draught at time of ordering. We also didn’t have cutlery on our table and there was a delay between our 2 pizzas arriving. It just wasn’t amazing service.
Also, there’s been a major effort to get influencers in and reviewing this place in opening week. Of course, this means it has glowing reviews, by the people who’ve received free meals. Just be aware.
I’d like to come back in a few months when everything has settled down - but I’m not feeling super enthusiastic to come back and spend £50 on pizzas.

Read moreJust had our baby a week ago and it was her first outing. The girl who sat us was so rude. They didn’t have a table ready for us (4 people with the pram) which was fine. The girl confirmed it was space for four and a pram. A few minutes later she took us to a table set for three people and I told her there were four of us. I wasn’t rude, I never am when I go out as I spent years working in hospitality too. Anyway, she replied, well that’s why we don’t have a table for you. So unnecessarily rude. She could have said something like, no problem, we’ll just organise another table. She then in her haste hit my mother-in-law on the leg with a chair when trying to get past her. I had also tried to put the pram in the space that was clearly for the pram before I realised the table was only set for 3 and she was quite abrasive, telling me where the pram was to go despite it being pretty obvious and the pram already being in the allocated space. The food wasn’t great and I just wanted to leave after this too. My husband asked for a whiskey with water and ice on the side for his dad and he got a whiskey with water and ice inside. Service charge also added to a table of four which was strange to me. We didn’t want to pay it as the service was bad but it is what it is. I wouldn’t return here with a newborn. I couldn’t believe how rude the girl was. Drinks not brought on a...
Read moreEDIT AFTER MY SIXTH VISIT: Ok I came back for the sixth time, and saddly I have to change my mind about your place.
When you started a few months ago, the pizza was great. Each subsequent visit has been a bit weaker until yesterday when I got a half burnt, over stretched and just plain poor pizza. I was there for about an hour watching it bake. All the pizzas were burnt. The guy baking pizza yesterday has no idea what he's doing. Pity. It has nothing to do with the essence of Neapolitan pizza, which is love for it. I don't think I'll ever go back if this lack of quality continues. below are some photos. This is not a subjective opinion. If you think this pizza is okay, then you don't know anything about pizza.
