McDonald's — Restaurant in Scotland

Poor performance from McDonald's. This is a double decker restaurant and the exterior was reasonably clean and tidy. There is approx 40-50 seats downstairs with the main bulk of the seating upstairs along with the main toilets. The food took approx 15 minutes from ordering and the chicken nuggets were fresh. The chips were under cooked and the portion full of tiny chip pieces. The portion wasn't full. There was also evidence that the oil needed changing. The drink contained ice when the order requested no ice. The McFlurry wasn't mixed and the portion less than usual. This restaurant is very popular with home delivery and there was 6 drivers in the restaurant all the time with approx 18 - 22 drivers present during our visit. The drivers treated the restaurant like their living room and sprawled out leaving their bags where they liked. Most of the drivers were talking on their phones quite loudly and a couple talking in a different language which wasn't a problem but was disorientating along with the rest of the noise. The downstairs seating area was filthy with food everywhere, the bin was over spilling. There appeared to be someone looking after upstairs however the upstairs wasn't looked after properly either. The upstairs toilets were disgusting and when clean the dirt was smeared. A group of kids came in and stood at the counter speaking to their friend who worked at the restaurant and this caused a delay to people waiting to order and collect their order. The restaurant was out of fruit bags but didn't mark these as out of stock on the kiosk meaning customers were going back up after getting their order. There was a lot of staff standing around doing nothing yet there was a lot of things to be done so the management wasn't great. There was 2 managers present near the tills. One was serving whilst other staff just loitered and another was running back and forth. Overall not a great experience...

We were told to move downstairs, nobody had a problem with this; until, no tables were clean and place was packed. We headed upstairs to speak to a member off staff and where told “because we’re closing upstairs, nothing we can do,” very rudely. When a other staff member delivered our food we asked what time upstairs shuts at (every time we ask it’s always different ranging from 6-8) staff member then proceeded to say “I don’t have a clue,” how do your staff members not know what time the upstairs shuts at? Restaurant tables were an absolute disgrace. If your staff members can’t keep up with cleaning tables how are they supposed to make food reaching hygiene standards? This McDonald’s is always like this, staff members being extremely rude, managers shouting at just eat person, more managers saying to stop bringing food forward over twenty people waiting; furthermore, there’s NEVER a staff member serving people. Customers have to ask someone to come serve and staff members having to get other members of staff to do it because it’s their turn. Absolute disgrace. My little cousin and his friends where in one day staff members rolled eyes at them multiple times; so, little cousin phoned -he’s twelve- said he wanted to put a complaint in and McDonald’s staff threatened to call the police. As far as I’m aware any age can put a complaint in. Also we where once told to clean up our own table -bag and cup sitting- im paying for a BASIC service if staff members can’t clean a table but even clean mine two items, they shouldn’t have a job. Furthermore if a baby had smeared ketchup all over a table staff members wouldn’t even THINK about making the mother clean it. Get it fixed...

I wish I had a picture of the raw mccrispy I also received a while back aswell as the raw chicken selects I have just received. Considering I never even actually ordered chicken selects and I ordered a 20 nugget share box, no surprise as every time I order something from here they send the wrong thing or don’t send it atal there is constantly something wrong with my order, the chicken is frozen then deep fried, it should not be this raw unless it has been put down for about 1 min or less, I’m genuinley so disgusted as I have such a bad phobia of raw chicken and somehow keep getting it from this store? About a month ago I went into the store (I’m almost 20 years of age) I was alone about 9pm at night on a weekday and the security guard stopped me and said no under 18s allowed (before even asking my age) I genuinley felt like he was getting some sort of kick out of being aggressive towards me when I had asked him what he was talking about I have never experienced needing id for a mcornalds. I showed him my id and he was still trying to be intimidating, watching me the entire time I was waiting on my food as I sat there in silence with the whole store quiet and it wasn’t busy.
